My personal opinion is that it should be fine to be the rep for several threads when it comes to "internal" affairs such as when Panon set up backgrounds for several threads as some base as well as for his Pomerlane saga for example.
even more so if one has asked permission fo those threads beforehand if they are fien with it.

however when it comes to "international" affairs in regards to matters involveing other nations and other reps, one should be limited to only be a rep for their own thread in order to stop some kind of powermove where people go around asking threads to be their rep in order to have some selfmade alliance to wage war with or push certain decisions to their advantage.

instead of writing a short story for the thread like I planned I ended up going on a massive amphetamine fueled schizo dossier rant about the demonic implications of vtubing...nora.

Let me state my position on the potential vote regarding one rep for nation. I will outright leave if this passes because:
1. I have worked my ass off for every thread I represent to make them separate and unique entities that are fun and represent the given thread. It's a slap in the face to me if I am forced otherwise.
2. I am not in any way abusing my powers with them. If you think I am, show me that I am.
3. I will not write a story like I am now for a thread I am not representing because its not my position in that case to take on such responsibilities nor would it be worth the effort.
4.I absolutely will be drained mentally and emotionally knowing that every thing I wrote is worthless now to me.

If you think I am abusing my powers internationally when I have tried to stay away from that now, so be it. But I ABSOLUTELY will be devastated by this.

Alice, its fine with the economy and that makes sense. You can step down and leave that lore since nothing is overpowered.

Most threads would be fine with anything because they don't care about this project. This can lead to people abusing that apathy to gain permission for things that give them an unfair advantage. The problem with your proposal is that if you write both your countries to be closely allied in lore then have one get attacked, it doesn't make sense that the other wouldn't join in. The international decisions get informed by the internal ones. Honestly, I don't really see a good solution for this sort of thing besides trusting people not to abuse their authority and bonking them if they do. Or getting more reps in general, but that's easier said than done.

I like you, panon, and I'd hate to see you go, so hopefully we find a satisfactory way to resolve this issue.

One of the bigger problems I have with this proposal that is directed at both Alice and Pomerlane anon is that both of them do care a lot about the project and this just screams to me "Well, its unfair" when in reality, some nations have deep ties to each other like nijimales and 2434 do. the concepts that connect a glyph or substance to another concept are related to the core concept. it's intrinsic, and shouldn't be expected to change too often unless something completely revolutionizes the core concept itself, but if such a thing were to happen, it is definitely possible for the glyphs and substances to change. i'd say it's more metaphysical, like platos world of forms or something, but popular belief can have a small effect if it's strong enough.

PPanon however, I currently support repping however many he has been (I have been paying barely any attention to what goes down there, too far for /nasa/ to care or know) since it seems he has done an admirable job making them distinct and not just saying "oh yea btw, we are all united now and we are gonna burn down every Holo". while that seems reasonable on paper, that becomes pretty sticky when you get to nations that share a general and new nations that are added in. There probably is some worry that some people had about you getting several votes but that also sounds dumb since it could easily be solved by making it one vote per person.
Rep status is very odd since there are a few decently prevalent nations that lack reps but still post on the regular and make lore.
Anyways I was gone for the past few threads and only just came in now so my opinion is pretty whatever but this seems like it won't end too badly considering the general opinions of the 9 IP's present. This is probably some sort of plot that a janny has instigated in order to crush thread unity to assure the rise of a new god of tribal hatred. Probably.

what i have refrained from sayign so far however due to it being in the past and i have trust in you and your smarts and so i am certain you have taken this into account yourself, is the fact that:

your story does have to kind of end in a way that the nations of the threads end up seperated again. pomerlane cannot sit in the present time sitting over a kingdom that is made up of /lazulight/, /nijien/, /yeah/ and /haha/. this would bring all kinds of issues of you basicly making all decisison with the power and resources of 4 nations at hand. even mroe problematic would be if someone from these threads later on decides to come in to rep for their own thread but they could not because their nation currently is "in use" by someone else.

again, i assume you have taken some ending in consideration with that in mind since you have clearly shown your ability to write as well as general smarts.

if i would take a different example, i frequent /hag/ a lot and if i feel up to ask the thread if i can set up some lore for them so that it becomes a nation that people can actually interact with them i think such a thing should be valid.

but when it comes to matters about, i dunno, some actual war between nations, i should not have the power to declare that /hag/ will act in tandem with /vrt/ no matter what just because i am writing lore for both threads.

I am not despairing brother, rather I have opened my eyes in a way that I never imagined I ever could. Things make sense in a way that cools my spirit like a molten sword dipped into a calm lake. I am unsure of how ironic I am but I have been incredibly productive since I've understood. I could never have guessed that the stories I was going to write for the thread would lead me to see the patterns that have echoed through not only the board but the news, multiple religions, several explicit demonic tomes and descriptions, and my own history including concepts that I drew upon as a young boy without much realization as to what I was truly composing. if i take /vrt/ for example we have a lot of overlap with /nina/ due to nina being well liked by both threads but there is also clear differences why i for example would never even write for /nina/ to begin with.

same with the fact that based on both threads being on super good terms with each other one could naturally conclude that if one or the other would get attacked that the other would help. but there is no /nina/ rep and so it is overstepping for me to just declare this as fact for both threads

in fact /vrt/ overlaps with /nina/, /lig/, /wvt/, /ag/, /tsun/ and /pyon/ and i have also seen lumi being posted in /indie/. how would you feel if i thus now make decision for basicly half a continent on my own and make it so each of these nations is deeply allied and has a defense pact against outside nations?

Well, the rep does tend to be the go-to for diplomacy, so the country can sorta speak with a consistent voice. But in general I agree, his main role is voting, and there's one per thread, and you can be rep for one thread.
EG: Pomerlaneanon is rep for NijiEN, he casts the vote for NijiEN. He also writes lore for a bunch of other niji threads, this is fine, you don't need to be rep to write for a thread. 1. No issue with another person writing with me, or working with me. They desire to write as much as I do.

I would change this to if you are going to write for another nation, have some passion and a great amount of respect for them. Continuing with Alice, I think that the map I proposed that nijireps agreed on is missed here. As we can see, it changes the dynamic because 2434's economy now has no raw minerals and metals in it and relies heavily on its neighbor for that (if you saw her economical map). Furthermore, I made this so that DSW could take land in the future from 2434 if I am not mistaken. I will try and work with her today about 2434 and nijimales to get her to understand the politics because I think she just doesn't understand it.
