I get Kiara's scaling issues but how is her early game bad? Her first ten minutes are exceptional.
Her character weapon hits a huge area and deals a lot of damage both natively and especially with Dancer. She can easily melt early KFP swarms and Trail Blazer means you can take out the shieldbeats basically every game both of which many characters with stronger late games struggle with.

I just constantly run in small circles, creating Trailblazer loops and kinda artificially enlarging the effective range of Spider Cooking or BL Book if I have them. I also get around to pick up XP.
There's the risk of getting carpal tunnel even with a controller but in-game it's working out great for me.
The special is weak against bosses but Kiara doesn't really need help with them. It is great however for some formations like the double helmet tako line, the shrimp oval or the kronie box to get some more kills before they disappear. The lingering fire is surprisingly potent for these mid-HP enemies.

I was just wondering what's wrong with early Kiara. If you value your hands Dancer is probably a liability since making circles gets tiring fast but I still hold that she is very, very effective early game. She can mow down hordes of enemies without much investment and is a far cry from early IRyS.
Starting with minute 25 she falls off a cliff, though.

Mori attacks way slower than Kiara, though. Even if you get used to her fucked up hit box it takes longer to kill stuff early on and she needs some real help to defeat the shieldbeats while they are basically free for Kiara.
Kiara is easily one of the stronger early characters in the game and doesn't even belong in the same conversation as Mori. She melts literally everything the game throws at her until minute 12 while Mori gets fucked by a single KFP that got a bit too close because she can't hit anything that isn't at the perfect range.
If we are talking about characters with detrimental movement Mori needs to kite and reposition a lot more than Kiara because of how bad the scythe is.

I've at least increased my consistency for gold farming by leaving all anvils and boxes on the ground until I'm at the right spot. I think boxes prioritize giving you weapons over items, so I try to wait until I have level 1 of two items I want to combine in a collab. Most collabs work but don't get cutting board unless you already have bombs and are going for flattening board. There are three points in a run where I can get enough off-screen enemies for Mumei's special to be efficient (1:30 skeleton wave, horizontal takodachi lines, and the two waves of running kronies), with a fourth (the running takos) potentially useful.

Yeah this run was reasonably unlucky but still ~6500 base coins isn't too bad. I got glasses and super chatto early but then tea and doll really lowered my damage output compared to better options. Even my run without super chatto time was over 4k base. Going in with a better strategy for manipulating the RNG has helped immensely in my consistency.

If you are talking about 25-30 minutes, the weapon setup you had should be just fine with some good defensive items and stat boosts like HP/speed for survivability. Avoid the "takes more damage" items because they aren't worth the trade-off and you need to be able to soak up some hits. Early on I had one run that I was able to dragon breath a safe path through to weave and barely outrun the hoard until Yagoo showed up. Now if you are talking about endless past 30 minutes, it's the same specific no-fun setup for everyone, but it's much harder for Ame to pull off because she lacks defensive skills and her starting weapon doesn't do a whole lot in the end game. You should go for all the large AOE collabs (MiComet, Flatten Board, Idol Concert), spider cooking and BL or plug. Fujoshi doesn't cover as much area as MiComet, and Dragon Breath only shines as a means to kill whatever is in front of you to make a safe path, which becomes pointless once the Yagoo hoard endlessly swarms the entire screen and it becomes strictly a game of outhealing the damage. It seems like going for dragon breath also ends up making it harder to get HP boosts needed to survive because taking it means you also have another weapon that would have been better spent on HP/stats once you have your AOE fuck zone. For items, level up glasses ASAP and focus on finding succy horns, plushy, meal and headphones for max survivability. If you see milk, it's worth it for the extra AOE range. After that, pray for good RNG after the 20-minute mark and stack as many HP boosts as possible so you have a good buffer while your succy horns heal you for hundreds. If you can survive the initial Yagoo rush past the first minute, your only goal is then to go wild with the endless stat boosts to keep surviving -- focusing on HP, then haste, damage, ignoring speed, maxing crit, and maybe tossing in some pickup range boosts every so often so you can stand completely still for hours to become a bored, unkillable god.

Do you/can you even kite Yagoos?

For gold farming I think Exp matters more than Gold bonus and Glasses more than Superchattotime. Best to have both but the impact of +100 coins every level is so big.
