I don't know why she gave up her biggest selling point for no reason. She was a Vtuber that was good at FPS years before Botan debuted, and that was what she was known for, but one day she inexplicably just stopped playing FPS games.

I think at this point even most of her old fans have accepted it probably wasn’t her playing.
It’s just very difficult to come up with reasons as to why she just wouldn’t play fps… in fact she actually seems to avoid them.
Her group does this for sponsorship money from playing all those shitty gachas. More views gets you better deals. Her co-workers would be asking themselves why won’t she do the thing that elevated their channel in the first place. The simplest answer was that it simply wasn’t her playing and trying to do something like that again would be taking a risk and getting caught, thereby removing all doubt.

Her excuse she gave for not doing edited fps content anymore was that it's harder to get good montages since she doesn't play as many fps anymore but that's no reason to avoid ever streaming them as a one off casually.
She clearly did not play the games herself.

I just assume it's because she was never actually the one playing them.
Perhaps Entum got some gamer to record footage and had her dub over it because they figured there'd be a market for fps gameplay with cute girl commentary. Then the company went under and she got left alone with a fake fps gamer reputation. I don't really blame them or her for it, since this was early on when everyone was still figuring out what exactly vtubers are supposed to be, and I still watch her sometimes because she's cute. But she hasn't touched fps in ages, she never streamed any of them (despite streaming other games), and she doesn't seem particularly good at games in general (compared to gamers like Botan). So she probably wasn't the one playing them to begin with.

It's a shame she's pigeon-holed into FPS because her playthroughs are kino. I highly recommend her Parappa the Rappa streams.
She's also way too cute to do such low numbers.

As a male who's shit at fps, it is that hard, there's no intuitive way to improve, you just play the game over and over and hope your brain gets the idea. That's also assuming you have good motor control and hand eye coordination already, which might not be true

Getting good enough to make the prerecorded videos believable while also copying the style of whatever player they hired would be pretty fucking hard. Dropping FPS altogether is far easier and I doubt anyone cares at this point.

Actually, I'd argue she should just make some funny videos where she admits everything and begs for correcti- I mean forgiveness and it would be more interesting than keeping the pro gamer gimmick.
