Hello /nasfaqg/, we’ve prepared a financial report for you, the Returns Report. Seeing how leaderboard place might not entirely reflect how well or how poorly you are doing anymore and the benchmark page is vulnerable to daily market fluctuations, we’ve collected data from all active players with open wallets. It was then processed and separated into four categories: Trading, Investing, Dividends, and Wallet Appreciation to gain more insight into your performance during the past week. The tables will use colors to denote possible membership of a corporation/group after they form.

>Changelog
• Reminder: you can request individual user ledgers, either as images or .csv files! Just message Triangle or Clocks.
• Kinchou Dantai has debuted! Their members are denoted by golden yellow.

>Game Activity
• There have been 210 players who made at least a single transaction in the past week, which is 3 less than last week.

>Disclaimer & Limitations
Before we proceed, I should note that the Returns Report is still a work-in-progress. In its finished state, the Returns Report will also include losses/gains of net worth due to gacha, betting, and market fluctuations, painting a whole and complete picture of individual components that caused your net worth to change over the week.
The data collection has several limitations:
• It does not include data from closed wallets.
• Inactivity is denoted solely by the lack of trades in the past week.
• If someone were to open and close their wallets over the week, it’d only count the open-wallet period.
• User had to exist at the moment the beginning of the week, when data collection started.
So, if you are active and want to see your performance in those reports, set your wallet to public!

Due to peculiarities of the data collection, there is a single case in which an active account would not be featured in the Returns Report, even with an open wallet. All three conditions have to be fulfilled:
• Account was created last year.
• Account’s wallet is open.
• Account never bought a coin.
In this single case, that account would need to be manually added. No active accounts fulfill those conditions right now. Nevertheless, if you do not appear in the Returns Report and would 1) want to 2) fulfill three criteria above, please send a direct message to Triangle Consulting.

>Income Overview
The data was collected during the 20:00 GMT+0 29.05.2022 to 20:00 GMT+0 05.06.2022 period. Data is sorted from largest to smallest total income during the data collecting period.
To define the sources of income:
- ‘Trading Profit’ stems from selling coins within the last week. Once a coin is sold, an associated ‘buy’ transaction is matched. The difference between buy price and sell price, deducted by buying/selling taxes, constitutes the trading profit column. Zeros in this column indicate a lack of sells, while negative values indicate inefficient trading.
- ‘Investments Profit’ stems from coins bought but not sold within the last week. In this case, the ‘profit’ is measured by taking the buy price and subtracting it from the 14-day average price of the coin. Negative values here indicate buying coins above their base price and holding them – large negative values are often the signs of heavy oshicoining or spending large amounts of money at once.
- ‘Last Dividends’ is simple enough. It’s the dividend payout from 04.06.2022 dividends.
- ‘Wallet Appreciation’ is the increase in net worth caused by market inflation. Bigger wallets have coins that remained ‘passive’ throughout the entire week are neither bought nor sold; however, the market is trending upwards, and thus they increase in value over time slightly. It is harder to notice, but it has a massive impact as it makes up for roughly 1/4th of the total profits of higher-ranked players. It’s calculated by taking the 21-day average price of a coin one week ago and now, subtracting them, and then multiplying by the amount of ‘passive’ coins in the wallet for every coin. Naturally, if the market were trending downwards, we’d observe a wallet depreciation, loss in value.
- ‘Auctions’ is the net balance of all auctions that finished within the data collection period. This factors in taxes on the side of the buyer, since the seller of the item only receives 95% of the bid.

>Trading Overview
Using the same data, this breaks down all ‘active’ trading profits into categories and sorts players by total trading profits from last week.
‘Trading Income’ is the basic difference between the buy and sell price of coins, ‘Trading Taxes’ are losses from buy/sell taxes in the two matching transactions. Taxes differ based on multicoin count. ‘Trading Profits’ is simply income minus taxes.
‘Invested Amount’ is the amount of money converted into coins by unmatched buys. ‘Investment Income’ composes of ‘Invested Profit’ plus ‘Investment Taxes’, it’s highlighted for consistency. ‘Investment Taxes’ are losses due to taxes associated with those transactions. In theory, 4.5% is the minimal investment taxes/invested amount ratio, while 45% is the maximal ratio, representing only 1x buys or only 10x buys. ‘Invested Profit’ is the difference between the price the coin was purchased at and its average price, minus taxes; you can consider it a forced sell of every coin bought during the week at the average price. Oshicoiners and high-ranked players, respectively, thrust themselves into buying coins above their average prices if they want to convert liquid into coins for long-term dividend profits.
As you can see, trading differentiates the players a lot. While total income was correlated mainly with rank, especially high on the leaderboard, trading easily differentiates between players who are close to one another.

>Dividends Overview
This section is meant to represent the long-term investment quality, represented by wallet composition. ‘Last Dividends’ displays the last dividends payout, ‘Average Net Worth’ is the average of daily net worth measured at 20:00 GMT+0 on every day pre-dividends, and ‘Approximate ROI %’ is ‘Last Dividends’ divided by ‘Average Net Worth’. The data is sorted from highest ‘Approximate ROI %’ to lowest. Since it is just an approximation and concerns a single payout, you should aim for being consistently high rather than always being on the top.
The ‘Dividends’ section of the Report is a work-in-progress and thus has some limitations: it is susceptible to price fluctuations and since it only takes into account the last dividends, it will favor oshicoiners of the top coin(s) over people with wallets that are better diversified for week-by-week stable dividend income.

>Income by Source
In this table, the total income of the past week was split into its core components, indicating how much every element contributed to the weekly profits. When a component brought losses, it was skipped so all components would sum up to 100%. This table is sorted by rank.
Higher-ranked players rely almost exclusively on dividends and wallet appreciation for profit. Trading has a maximum profitability cap associated with it since the number of trades you can make in a single cycle is limited. This is reinforced by the need to spend liquid to be able to hold coins that will generate profits over time in an exponential manner, stifling the profitability of trading higher-up.
On the other hand, trading can make up the bulk of income for the newer players It remains the primary method of climbing since it heavily differentiates between players, while dividends are more or less the same percentage-wise.
Auctions are a niche source of income most of the time, but can explain much of the rapid movement at later pages of the leaderboard.
As you can see, wallet appreciation starts being the main driving force of late-game income. This trend will deepen as long as dividends remain stagnant.

That concludes the Returns Report. Are the results what you expected? Is there some functionality you’d want for us to implement? Feel free to discuss and give us feedback.

For those interested.
I oversold Kanaeru slightly this week to guarantee a ~5m edge, but it ended up not mattering. Fun fact: I don't trade with ID3 or Rurudo usually because I'm too lazy to update my sheet to include them.

It was a good run. I've still got it, at least for a tiny last moment of glory.

Thank you for everyone who gave their all to trading this week. I was honestly nervous until the numbers came in, since I knew that the competition was really tough. Many people have improved a lot over time, and there were many newcomers. Seeing so many relatively new players up high on the trading report alongside the true and tried oldhags really moves me, especially since some players come out of retirement specifically to have one last bout with me. It means a lot.

Now, I can truly say that I retire from active trading and that the mantle of #1 is up for the taking for the next generation. Fair and square. There are many promising players for that spot, so hone your instinct or your sheets!

Hosting a community AMQ game, get in here everybody: https://animemusicquiz.com/

Room ID: nasfaqg | Password: firefox

Feel free to either use a guest account or make a proper one. You can add a list too to tailor the quiz, just make sure to set it to private if you care about anonymity. Guests can't talk, so if you'd like to do that then you'll need to make an account.

We will be playing the Battle Royale mode (to start off with at least). You move around with your keyboard's arrow keys and click on things to loot them so that they show up in the quiz pool. You answer with the name of the anime, not the name of the song or artist. If you join mid-match you'll have to spectate, but you'll be able to join as a player after the game is over (games usually last around 15-20 minutes).
These lobbies tend to last a while, so don't be discouraged from joining late.

I don't think it's so bad, just takes some grit and good trades. You won't catch up to the richfags incredibly fast (unless you take a stimmy) but if you could do that it'd be pretty silly I think. I still remember when someone told me not to multicoin until I understand when it's good to do so, ignored them, and then my networth didn't move for a couple weeks. Once I started 1x and really learning how to trade is when I started making money quick(er).
Buuuuuut I'm also pretty optimistic around the game, so.

I have to disagree, even though null-chan isnt in the top 10 yet, stimmies or even networth arent positively affecting the top traders. You could say that more liquid is detrimental, assuming you have enough income.

i double disagree theres enough trades each day to spend 1 bil a week and still be making optimal profitable trades. The peak for "i need to turn this into div money" is about 26th place in networth

>> No.25626651

>>25626468
NTA but I double triple disagree. There's a certain point at which you have too much money for optimal "set it (at adjustment) and forget it" trades. You have to make trades that are only optimal for a certain amount of time during the day, and that can easily become unprofitable even before HOUR NINETEEN depending on volatility/volume. 26th place is well past that point.
Turning down multi-buy/sell, or trades that are only profitable at 1x for less than 144 cycles. You're approaching "min-max" territory by Top 50.

>> No.25626923

>>25626468
>>25626651
You can turn a profit, but optimized trades require some degree of multi-stage managing. A lot of the work I've been doing with the Trade Assistant is evaluating typical liquid pools and trying to take some of the pressure off of micro-managing all day.
It would be significantly easier for people in the upper brackets to make good trades if they could check a chart that says "Trade [Coin] at 4x for 20 cycles, then tune down to 3x for 20 cycles, then tune down to 1x and continue for another 50 cycles, then turn off". Even if it's not perfect advice, just having something to a broad strokes estimation for you would help a lot of players learn optimization and long-term volume/liquid management.

I’ll start off by saying, I never spoke about the optimal profit, and the returns report is just one way of visualizing trading profits. My point about income is based prior reports or more specifically the rank diversity of top traders.
I however do agree that the actual or theoretical cap is higher, but you cant expect players to meticulously update and monitor their trader. And even then, Im not sure what you consider ‘optimal’ and if it’s related to the RR or using some other metric.

Birdie let loose a long breath as everyone's holograms flickered and disappeared from the faux-conference room, signaling the end of their first formal meeting. While not easy and certainly not his area of expertise, being a part of the founding of a new corporate group was a stepping stone for Birdie. He'd been run out of his own company before and forced to start with nothing; he wouldn't let that sort of thing happen again.
He stretched backwards and looked out the windows. Light rain pattered the glass and the omnipresent darkness of the city left him staring into his own reflection. Dim neon green lights in the street below cast an unnatural hue behind the ghostly apparition. It unsettled him. But he shook the thoughts from his head and stood. As he turned towards the door he found a familiar silhouette blocking the exit.
"Did it go well?" asked Zero. For once he seemed to be in a good mood, rather than his typical and perpetual indifference.
Birdie shrugged. "I think so. I've never been in a keiretsu so I wouldn't really know. I do know that it wasn't very fun, though."
"Fair enough. Do you have a minute? I want to try something new."
Birdie groaned. He hated it when he was the guinea pig for 'something new'. It was never fun! But then again he had never ended up hurt because of it.
"Only if you tell me what you're doing first. I don't like surprises."
"It's a new firewall architecture. Something passive. Mouse told me about a guard at [CLUB NAME] that took him by surprise. I was working on it all day."
He considered it for a few seconds. Physical altercations were sort of Birdie's strong suit, so the risk of getting taken down by somebody like that was very real. And Zero wouldn't ask to try something if it was actually dangerous. Birdie didn't know much about tech, but he knew Zero did.
"Okay, fine," he agreed while offering his hand out. "Make it quick."
"Great," Zero answered, taking Birdies slightly larger hand in his own.
Immediately he felt the familiar rush of Zero's mind into his body and the strange whispers that always accompanied it. It raced up his spine into his skull and in a split second he felt a firewall go up. Zero's presence receded and the whispers disappeared.
His hand was released. Birdie felt very odd, as if he were suspended in water. He relayed as much to Zero. The process repeated a few times before he felt completely normal with the firewall engaged. He could feel it there around his mind but it didn't interfere with any of his senses.
"That should do it. Even if you or Mouse are taken by surprise, you should have long enough to take care of the problem," Zero stated proudly.
"Thanks," Birdie replied. "But I don't know how many more of our 'jobs' I'll be able to do now with the whole keiretsu thing."
"Well I wouldn't be so sure. Mouse was saying he had something big in store for us but got jumpy when I asked what."
Birdie liked the sound of that. 'Big' usually meant payoff, but it also usually meant risk. He still needed the capital though, now more than ever. And hell, he kind of liked the danger of it all.
Familiar jingles filled the room. Zero and Birdie answered simultaneously.
"You two there?," Mouse asked excitedly. "I've got something for us. Might be our last if we play it right."
Zero spoke up. "Is this what you were telling me about before?"
"Yeah, yeah, it's the--" Mouse began, but quickly interrupted himself, "Wait, are you two together? Scandalous!"
"I was testing the new firewall on him, Mouse," Zero responded dryly.
"Whatever you say. Anyways, meet up at the usual spot. I'll let you in on the details there. Ciao!"
Zero turned on his heel and slipped through the door without waiting. All business. Birdie gathered the last of his things before following Zero out into the neon streets. Something big was in store; he just hoped it wouldn't be a big mistake.
