Most streamers become reactors when they realise they're at a point that it provides the same growth and they get the same support doing it as they do with any other content.
Effort doesn't matter, not when people are content to watch some anime girl watch videos and rate it as equally as high-effort content. Hololive and other companies might keep this at bay for now, but at the end of the day, they're companies, they follow the money, once they realise they don't need to put in effort, they wont, this mentality is already reflected in the quality of their rigging which is dogshit by industry standards. Even Pekora's or Korone's fans would be content to watch them watch videos, it just hasn't come to that yet.
