mirage is being live mocapped and VAed back stage. the tech is there for pretty much live rendering a custcene quality character and streaming it. i would love to see someone stream with like an overwatch quality model. codemiko is close but the design is ass and it has weird rigging with the mouth going monster mode

Motion tracking being used to control physical avatars, not merely digital 3d ones.
Imagine having an animatronic 1:10 scale model of your oshi on your desk that does everything she does.
I think this is the real technological goal here, developing body-tracking systems along with feedback to the point that someone can control a robotic avatar at a distance like their own body. Vtubing is the funding source but it's not the real end goal.
