I'd expect the Seiyu groceries to have them since they'd been bought by Walmart. I wouldn't be surprised if they decided to not carry American candies and chocolates though, it's probably too sweet for the Japanese palate.

I don't know about Asia in general, but I've tried traditional Japanese Sweets (dango, yokan, mochi, konpeito, etc), chocolates (Japanese Kitkats, Pocky, Meltykiss etc), and various other candies from dagashi stores, and I think on average they are less sweet than the Hersheys candies and chocolate. Even the ones you'd find commonly in the west like Hi-chew and Kasugai gummies would be less sweet then their American counter-parts.

I think it's also the same for their savory food, (if it's not meat, poultry, or eel that's been drowned in some sauce made with onions, sugar and MSG from seaweed) they're also very lightly flavored
