Algo is by source - this has been said multiple times on YouTube's Creator Insider channel. Meaning every source has its own algo and uses its own metrics* - watch time from one source doesn't count for other sources. Since Live Redirect is its own source as per its help article, viewers from Live Redirect won't count their metrics for Homepage or Recommended or other such sources.

* There are a handful of ways this gets crossed though, for example if something gets a lot of views/links/attention from one source YT will attempt to find the metrics for other sources. For another example there are specific slots on the Homepage for other videos from channels in your watch history.

Add barcoding and "live stream offline" type of errors and the averages would still be much less reliable than peaks
