What is it about discovering a vtuber's niche hobbies that makes them immediately more appealing? I didn't really care for Watson before, I always thought she was kind of annoying and dull, but after finding out she's got a thing for Terrariums, like, that's interesting. I wanna hear her talk about it.

What niche hobbies, outside of vtubing and gaming, does your oshi have?

I want a maker/hacker/hobbyist-engineer Vtuber. Something like William Osman, Michael Reeves or Stuff Made Here but with a VTuber avatar. No idea how you'd do it anonymously though, since cooking streams are already hard enough.
Maybe I'll try to fill that niche myself, once I get a better grasp on the 3D modeling side of things.

stamp collecting must have died out already as no one sends personal letters by mail and corpo mass marketers get bulk deals and get ink stamps.

late oldfag millenial here, as a kid used to collect silver and gold coins because of how they sounded when clinking, toys from '90s cartoons, comic books, super hero cards, video game, and consoles, just a lot of kid stuff. Used to have stacks of comics and binders full of cards, esp holographic ones. Fast forward went to college out of state, boomer parents threw away my entire collection because they said it was just kid trash I wouldn't need once I got a career and wife, also cashed in my silver and gold coins for cash value instead of the metal value to pay for mortgage they had fallen behind on. They ended up losing the house in 2009. Years later assessed how much that collection would've been worth, I could've literally bought a house and car. Parents justified it because they're the ones the paid for it in the first place. Took a few years to forgive them but never got over that feeling of absolute loss. Going to die a wizard.

>> No.23224715

Biggest problem with stamp collecting is that one very very few stamps actually worth something. Also yeah the invention of email and instant messaging murder stamp collecting until no one want to acknowledge it anymore except for some hardcore boomer.

Also the most expensive stamp was kept in a glass case and in a very secure storage. Kinda crappy to be honest.
