I actually thought about long stream formats for quite some time and I am not entirely sure what to think. Of course more content is nice, but if you put out too much then its too hard to catch everything for many people. Switching into hour 5+ of a stream isnt really something I personally enjoy either.
Is it better to have fixed timeslots with short streams and build a community around them that can pretty muc hwatch all of it, or be online more or less 24/7, so you can get exposure to a lot of people who can always just tune in?

Raids are a million times better for 10 - 1000 viewer channels since they can pass them around their community. Sure that doesnt get "new" viewers and only passes around established viewers in the bubble, but you can get eyes on you that actually watch. And that bubble can slowly expand by making outside people interested. Twitter gives you literally nothing in return, followers are not a metric. And Youtube...live-streaming is absolute memery.
What Twitter and Youtube can do is randomly moon small shitpost clips. And people will then check out the streams, irregardless of plattform.
In short, twitch will not make you moon, but it is better to grow a community and connect with existing channels.

I go by the viewer count. If they have a lower count I try to support them a bit more than if they have a lot of viewers already. If theres a few with low counts I open multiple windows and mute the tab in my browser so Twitch doesn't know its muted. Then I unmute occasionally and type in the chat so they feel appreciated.
