Thoughts on this design draft? I was going to use it for a potential rebrand, but after the design discussion that followed the "should I be a neo-nazi vtuber" anon yesterday, I am having some serious reconsiderations about the military uniform. The intention was to be a vampire in a decorated and adorned uniform, but that might have to change. What do you guys think?

If you're an 'evil' character (vampire, demon, etc) you can get away with the nazi-esque military style. They had a sharp style that is still emulated for fear, so it works if you're supposed to be frightsome.

You are trying to make a girl with no breasts and bigger proportions. This does not make a man, it makes a big woman.

The differences Between a man and a woman come down to structure:

Some major difference in the body itself is the shape of the back and glutes and how they connect.
The female form can be better described into flowing in that region, no matter how muscular or flat the girl is curve of the back will create a much smoother flow into the glutes.
Male form is a lot more barrel like. You have a very rough shape for the torso connecting to the legs through glutes that are more standalone, less flowing.
This is why hips are a recognizably feminine feature.

Generally, longer faces with eyes closer together and narrower would make a manlier face. Wide faces with far apart eyes are cute to humans. This is where things become way too subtle... you can have a long faced narrow eyed women that looks a beauty.
Some thing to keep in mind is are things like

>Thicker neck
>Rougher lips
>sharper angle on the chin
>Many features are similar to female features, just a lot rougher.
Great examples of artists who draw their males and females distinctly differently are sushio and Akiman.

There is a scale of bishounen.
Some bishounen look completely like a girl, some look unmistakably manly, some are in between.
This is so far into the girl spectrum that it may end up labeled a trap if said to be male.
I have no agenda here. The artist asked how to make it less feminine.
I am not good at drawing feminine looking men. If I need to draw feminine looking men like shinji or kirito I do better if I tell myself I am drawing a girl.

I'm trying to figure out how Twitch works. Apparently there's no stream quality choice when watching newer streamers? That means that as a start I should stream in 720p so I don't destroy peoples mobile bandwidth right?
The more I learn about twitch the more baffled I get. There are no permanent VOD's, quality can only be toggled on more established streamers stuff etc. YouTube as a platform seems way better but it comes at the cost of a massive visibility debuff too. I cannot believe Twitch is as big as it is when it's just terrible in so many ways.

Yes exactly, just stream at 720 til you hit Partner. Youtube failing as the premiere livestream service is just due to Twitch being around as one significantly longer and developing an entire culture that Youtube has no hope to replicate. I just changed some minor face features because I didn't want to do any mayor changes to the anatomy or face structure itself, live2d models are front or 3/4 facing and 99% of the time won't show the rest of the body so I focused on what actually mattered. If I changed the neck, i would also have to balance the shoulders, arms and chest but the anon who posted the sketch seems happy with the body his model has so i opted for not doing anything regarding that.

Erm... sorry, I really do appreciate the advice, but that stylization really doesn't appeal to me at all, nor do I think I would be able to provide a suitable voice to it. I think from my artistic point of view as well, if I were to make the character that broad, it would be off-looking to not add the appropriate corresponding muscle too, of which would make the character a little too macho feeling for me to voice (I hope this makes sense)

How do you get comfy at your desk/kitchen table/etc. for streaming?
I’m trying to, but the room I’m in (kitchen, with my back to the rest of it and the big rounded table against the wall) makes everything too… open? Also I think I made a mistake last year of getting a new gamer-style ergonomic chair with no leaning back, the seat and back lean together.
Also the rounded table makes it hard as hell to actually put things on it without crowding the ends.

Indeed, I've got a few ideas in mind. My 3D model is in its final stages of being finished and I've got full body tracking that I can work with to make a pretty rad 3D debut. My decision to skip live2D sure delayed getting started though as my design was finished back in august, but I absolutely had to be in 3D so I was willing to wait on this 3D artist. I just need to generate hype somehow. And while I'm male, I do think I have a design unique and high quality enough to give me an advantage together with a channel ready to be monetized whenever. The problem is how to generate the hype.

The core concept is Meneghino a magician defies the laws of reality, messes up a word and not only is he catapulted in time, but also most of his powers have left him as he has also changed vessel.
The idea is that according to magical math by messing with realities for stargazers (showing things from worlds[games etc] to people) he can then store this pure kind of energy and gain the power that was lost and even finish the ultimate spell that failed.

resolution doesn't matter, your bitrate does. 720p is more forgiving at a lower bitrate but it won't matter if you're streaming at 720p or 1080p if you're still pushing 6mbps of data. no transcoding means your viewers need to download 6mbps of data, regardless of your resolution.

In terms of the body, I think you are getting there, but you are still thinking about men being wide rather than

Within these constraints, you can make a male character much more slim and still make it unmistakably male

Firstly, you need to learn to be unhinged. Most of the time, people usually don't burst out in extreme emotions because they're either accommodating for their surrounds or have conditioned themselves to see it as a waste of energy. Try voice chatting with more lunatics online, or putting yourself in more explosive environments where the dialogue requires asserting your voice onto others, this will help you get more comfortable with that psychopathic side of yourself.
Secondly, learn to brush things off. The buildup and punchline to a lot of "FUNNY MOMENTS MONTAGE" is that initial lack of care but then that's suddenly overcome by the need to explain yourself to the audience, as if you shouldn't be ridiculed which in turn encourages that engagement from them. Of course, you can throw in a mix of sudden reactions, and delayed or nonchalant reactions, but at the end of the day as long as that reaction is natural people will be attracted to you.

Most of the FFXIV directory is vtubers these days. Top 5 streamers are in thousands of viewers to about 500. Next 5 are already down to 100. Next 10 are down to 50, and then it drops off to 5 viewer streams.

Those really good content creators don't have super secret techniques to why people stay watching them. That's why streaming reps are important. if you can write a script for a 15 minute video and you enjoy talking about technical things, then you're set. you're one of those people who doesn't need to be a streamer, much less a vtuber. you're better off making videos with your skillset. you've probably heard of channels like 3blue1brown and others in that sphere of youtube. most of them are pretty successful, if that's what you're after.
