I'm gonna assume you mean a model or something. I am currently looking at a Fiverr artist that draws VTubers specifically for $65 and a Fiverr rigger for about $250. Get a designer to draw your character so it's very clear what the rigger should draw and rig. None of these artists can do clown face paint right so I might be in trouble with the getup I chose. At least that's what I am gonna do if Nijisanji falls through. As for equipment you don't need fancy shit at the beginning. That can be upgraded with time. I have the Sennheiser 660S. About $400. Costs a pretty penny but it's not at all a requirement. A mic is more important but I like the ease of use a headset mic provides so I use a wired antlion mic attached to my headset. About $60 for that.

That said, I have done giveaways, and they can be a good way of spiking interest. If you're not doing a current game, reach out to the devs, too.

Last Halloween, I did a giveaway of Sunless Sea. It's a text-heavy 'horror' game, and I really enjoyed playing it myself before becoming a streamer (it's not a great stream game though).

I reached out to the devs, and asked if they'd be willing to send me a 50% off coupon or something, because I wanted to do a giveaway and really liked their stuff.

They gave me two copies of the game+dlc (~22 GBP/28 USD each), and didn't make me do anything.

So what might work is reaching out to whoever devs the game you played most during the stretch to affiliate.

Unless you're a one in a century talent like The Rock with connections to big promotions, you would need to pay your dues and make your name in the indies before moving on to the big leagues. Kenny Omega was rejected by WWE and made his name in the indies, went to smaller promotions, and now his name always comes up whenever people talk about the best wrestler in the world. Cody Rhodes was stuck as a lowly jobber in WWE for a decade, quit WWE to travel all over the world and make it on his own for 6 years, and was welcomed back to WWE like a king.

So any good place to find middle level vtubers. Like I don't want to come off as rude or too humble honestly. But I have an issue with the vtubers wanting to collaborate only having 1 or 2 viewers or being super inconsistent with streaming. I've worked hard to stream everyday and am getting 50 to 100 concurrent viewers now. Nothing ground breaking but something where it would be nice to collaborate with others taking it somewhat seriously. Even 8 to 10 concurrent is fine or lower as long as they stream often with non shit quality. Pretty much some one who puts in work. But I can't find people like that. Voice changers aren't great for dramatic changes. They aren't magic. If you know what you're doing, you can tweak your voice - and a huge portion of streamers already do that.

If you have deep man voice, you aren't going to be a convincing pedobait. 99% of the time, you're better off just learning how to work with what you've got.

But if you absolutely insist, it takes more than just a voice changer software.

Find an opposite-gender voice type that's the closest to your real voice. If your real voice is deep male, go for smooth mommy voice. If your real voice is high pitched female, go for friendly excited gay dude. If your real voice is mid-range male, go for tomboy girl next door. Etc.

Don't add a layer of complexity unless you absolutely MUST. E.g., don't try to get rid of your natural accent, or add a new one.

If you can tweak to that level with a voice changer, have at it.

If you can't, look up videos on youtube of vocal feminization/masculanization for transgender people. Seriously, there's a boom for this shit these days, so take advantage of all the free content. Record yourself talking for a while. Read news articles or books or movie scripts or whatever out loud for an hour straight.

One you can do that without your throat hurting and you would listen to that person talk and think that they MIGHT be a chick/dude, use the software to get the rest of the way.

Plan for this taking at least 2-3 months before you do anything with it. Plan frequent break days at first because it will be tough on your throat until you get used to it (day on/day off at first, then break every 2-3 days, at minimum).

If you're not ready for all that, just give up and work with your real voice.

If your viewers only follow you because you follow the trends, you're putting yourself on a treadmill - and any attempt to escape it will be predicated by losing your viewercount (or, worse, your financial stream). Most VTubers swear by maintaining kayfabe at all times. It's an expectation, really - I'm familiar with multiple communities where posting about a VTuber's non-IC life is frowned upon, and I've seen many people complain about VTubers who go OOC especially if it's to post selfies.

If you want to be able to go more OOC for zatsudan, stay IC and design your character's lore in a way which allows telling these stories.

Please listen to this. Even if you love a subject don't box yourself in. I did that while I became very successful financially and view wise. People only wanted specific content from me. I had to fight to grow and when I did succeed I let it lapse and lost all the ground work I did. But even those other things were just more boxes, just bigger ones. Make your audience come for you not what you do.

Corporate? Sure. Otherwise next to no indies do this, and most that do are nobodies because a majority of viewers are not looking for kayfabe outside of "Thanks for the follow, I'm glad you've decided to join the Space Federation!" and the occasional nod to it here and there.

You've got the occasional chuuba that stays totally in character and does well, but that character is usually either fujo or cunny baiting, and even then they'll talk about their trip to the farmer's market, someone rude they came across while at the bookstore, or other IRL things that clearly could not apply to most characters.

Plenty IRL streamers still pull it off, but I just don't think it's what the Vtuber audience is looking for. Whenever I show some of the normal streamers I watch to friends (both viewers and other chuubas) they immediately think they're jerks or assholes despite it clearly being a bit, and I assume it's because most didn't watch streamers until Vtubers and are just mindwarped from only watching these comfy and overly-friend Vtubers.

You don't really find Vtubers with the same attitude or personas as the IRL streamers out there, so it's a massive shock when that type of viewer sees someone berating their audience (and vice versa) even though both the audience and streamer know it's just banter and I think it's just the type of viewer that Vtubing attracts.

Either you're projecting or it's the half that doesn't matter apparently, I'm guessing the former considering all the larger people he's collabed and interacts with. Even if every single chuuba out there hated him it doesn't matter because it's the viewers you need to entertain, not other streamers. I personally don't like his content because he's way too loud for me and has too many effects going on, but that doesn't diminish his ability to entertain and pull in an audience no matter how much people want to bitch about him being obnoxious.
