I ended up going too hard and too heavy on the plot which meant that there would be no way I could seamlessly transition it into cheap emotionless sex with Botan on the boat. I wrote the whole plot where you get on the cargo ship, meet Botan, she's chained up and full of bruises and doesn't talk, rain storm hits, ship capsizes, you help her escape and the two of you go to an emergency boat, where the actual prompt would begin. I'm conflicted about this. On one hand it's hot and the cheating itself is well done, but it feels like it's going too fast, and other than Towa, the other chuubas don't feel like themselves, Kanata especially. It's mostly the fact that I can't imagine sweet, shy Kanata suddenly deciding to have emotionless sex with (you).
The way I saw it from the prompt, I thought she would have listened to your woes about your lack of sex life, and after some deliberation, slept with (you). Then she would have struggled with the fact that she had fucked her friend's boyfriend, but that (you) were so good in bed, not just in sex, and that Towa just wasn't attending to your needs, that she would do it again. Then, Coco finds out and decides that if Towa wasn't going to fuck you, while Kanata clearly wanted to, she'd allow it but only if she joined in.
That's not what happens. Kanata just silently leads you to your room, gives a half-assed excuse as to why she's doing it, and then in the act itself she seems to bounce between being annoyed and not giving a shit. If that was a chuuba like Kronii or Ina, I'd get it, but Kanata? Then ch2 comes, suddenly she wants to talk, she doesn't actually talk, just leads (you) to Coco who also wants to fuck. No explanation, no emotion, no investment. Coco's sorta in character though.
Again, Towa, (you)r conflict and the cheating are all well done, it's the other chuubas who aren't. They act more like portable pussies than actual characters, which is similar to how most NTR media portrays the bull, a walking, talking, smug cock connected to a human body that the girl falls for, but most NTR is comprised of short original stories where the characters are nothing more than blank slates, whereas yours is using characters with well defined personalities.

Last night I had a dream where I was in another country with some friends, and we nearly missed our flight so we had to make a mad dash for the terminal. You can try to salvage/retcon Kanata due to this line:

It's ambiguous enough that you can do a lot of things with it. Was she being shy and hiding it under a layer of disinterest? Did she like (you) and wanted to steal you from Towa? Did Coco fuck up and cause Kanata to want to hurt her, and cheating with you was a prime opportunity to do so? You can do a lot with it.
On the other hand, you could also just start anew if you feel there is no saving it, for example, because retconning Coco is going to be hard due to her not having any ambiguity. It would suck, but with only two chapters done, you wouldn't be losing that much. Up to you.

If you're interested, the main plot would essentially have revolved around the idea of various participants creating hodgepodge "agencies" who would compete with each other for viewership in a battle royale. The "viewers" (readers) would assist their favorite agencies in-lore by giving the unwitting participants equipment, pure luck, or ideas.

Opponents would be composed of agencies of 2 view chuubas and, in cases of big story arcs, actually relevant holos. Depending on who you guys would put into your agency, different bonuses would have been applied, like Coco+Okayu -> Wonderland bonus with 2/5 chuubas, Jabberwock and Cheshire Cat. Korone+Okayu -> Canon pair, big bonus.

It's probably not gonna get revisited but that's how it was gonna go.

Okay, it's way better now. The conflict has been amped up, it hurts twice as much, and everyone is mostly in character. It's also about three times as long and far less focused on smut so there's more room for the story itself to breathe. It's gone from a story that's there to make you bust a quick nut without thinking about how good or bad it is, to a story with the potential to make someone cry, and bust a bigger nut, because the more you build up the hot steamy action, the bigger the payoff.
A couple of nitpicks though; you use "glare" when someone is looking at someone/something else, but a glare is a focused, almost angry stare that is usually given to someone you dislike. The word you're looking for is "glance". There's also a couple of typos.
Other than that, it's a massive improvement. It's so much better in fact that it feels kind of disconnected from chapter 1 due to the shift in quality.
Either way I'm looking forward to seeing how much hurt and comfort the characters are going to go through.

the only thing I remember about writing assignments in school were mashing words out vaguely related to the topic at hand because I struggled to reach the minimum word count, and couldn't fathom how people could write so much

I'm gonna go out on a limb and assume what you mean "writing" as the ability to create stories that are interesting, well structured and is able to convey the feelings/messages you intended. The short answer is "pick up the fucking pen and keep writing", and the long answer is that a story is more than just the sum of its parts. One can easily string along a number of words and sentences and call it a "story", but what you really want is wide vocabulary, pacing, prose, and a whole bunch of other skills that can't exactly be taught. You're going to have to read a whole bunch of stories/novels, start noticing what you like about those stories and then copy/adapt it into your own, doing your best to incorporate what you've learned into your stories. Soon the amalgamation of the things you've read and the tens of thousands of words you've written will become something that is uniquely yours. But that comes with time, and of course, your conviction to keep creating stories. So pick up the fucking pen and start writing.

It will usually never go the way you want it to at first but If you write something, you can come back to it later and tweak it.

As someone with a very specific combination of fetishes, I do agree, but I don't think the problem is that people aren't aroused by what they're writing. It seems to be moreso that they're aroused by what they're writing when they're writing it, but either out of the natural aversion to your own work all artists seem to have or just overexposure, they can't get off to it again or simply don't want to look at it again.

Gotta read other people's work, too. It's essentially the same process for any other artform. I do think that having some awareness of the fundamental rules of writing is very beneficial, just like it is for drawing or music. Not necessary if you have a knack for it, but it can't hurt if it's hard for you to pick up on them.

I understand this, but maybe as a result of my extremely slow release pace and autistic eye for detail, it does not apply to anything I've released publicly. I'm damn proud of those fics and put a lot of time into ironing out any critical deficiencies in them before hitting "Upload". Releasing something that doesn't give me that sensation would feel like a disservice to my fans.

Now, the hundreds upon hundreds of pages of half-finished fics in my archives are another story entirely

Would have to generate the willpower to finish them first, even in a halfassed state. If it's not working out and not part of one of my long-term projects, I'm likely to just leave it sitting there forever, cold and dead. If it IS, however, I will autistically rework it over and over for months until I produce something I'm happy with, at the expense of anything else I could be potentially be doing.

For me it's been a mix of reading fiction/work about writing fiction and trial and error.

Reading will take you far, but in the end, just as with drawing, this is an artform that takes a lot of practice. Accept that your first story will be garbage. But keep your chin up, try to learn from the mistakes you made last and keep going.

That's been my process. Been writing for years and only mow do I feel like an amateur.

Mmm, fair. I comb my stories pretty meticulously as well, though, and there are some I'm very proud of, but I just can't bring myself to fap to them for some reason. The issue seems to me to be the level of control you have over the situation, if that makes sense. Not quite as fun to read back if you had complete authorial control over every single plot point and happening. It's kind of an unusual concept to explain. I think I'd rather read a pretty good story by someone else than an amazing story by me, though, and I feel like most people who create feel that way, too.

That I can empathize with, but I dunno, I guess since I'm so particular about my tastes that reading something that panders exactly to them for once in a blue moon overpowers that sensation.
Of course, I WOULD rather read someone else's work hitting my niche rather than my own, but it's such an unfortunately rare occurrence. I keep all such instances firmly at the forefront of my mind as examples to draw from and frequently reread them.

"My queen? What's the matter?" You asked.

Air seemed to be still and the pressure could be felt in the beating of your burdened heart. The queen stared onto the ground, listening, focusing, trying to figure out what was wrong.

Her pink discolored hair from old age began to crackle with electricity at the seams, rising up in the air as if it was floating, and then, before you could even part your lips, she looked at you with widened eyes of desperation, and pushed you aside. Not a moment after, lightning came crashing down from the sky with a thunderous, deafening bolt, striking right where your queen stood.

Everything went white, and then, it was over. Your ears rang and your body ached. Burns ran down from your torso all the way down to the edge of your feet, singing your skin as if you had just been covered in seering hot acid. But your first words were not out of concern for yourself.

"My queen!" You yelled, though you could not hear your own voice. Not even a pile of ash remained where she once stood.

The clouds parted and down from the heavens came crashing down another bolt. This one wasn't intended for destruction however, but for transport. An angel descended from the skies, glowing long blue locks ran down her silver hair. Her wings spanned the size that of a long tree, covered in many feathers as white as the snowy winter itself. A large halo in the form of a four pointed blade hovered above her head, golden, crackling with energy.

She stared at the charred spot where the lightning struck, and raised her indifferent eyes upon thee. Then, her arm extended, and from the tip of her fingers, a blade came from within, slowly sheathing out as if it came from her very bone. She lined up the blade to your neck, and mouthed the words:

"It had to be done."

With the whip of the wind and the sharp whistle of the blade, she struck down through your neck. A moment of silence. And then, total darkness. You would be allowed to join your queen, at once.
