Yeah with snowy during the bully zatsu I'm pretty sure he just joined in the banter but when he realised she was genuinely upset and had no fucking idea how to handle it he engaged turbo simp mode. My personal theory is that shondo gets emotional before she gets logical because she probably doesn't have a male influence in her life. With female friends they'll just be like "oh I share the feeling" to comfort you but male friends might share the feeling but also actually try to devise a solution to avoid the situation or improve it. It seems she hasn't really devised any sort of plan on how to direct chat's attention or how to just be stern and move on so she just gets upset. Yeah it's almost a gut response I'd assume so I understand why some people do it but it's not usually helpful. That being said sometimes letting someone know they're not alone in feeling something helps ease the pain a little especially if the feeling is a little obscure or not commonly talked about but generally speaking being understanding or trying to give helpful advise goes further to helping them than the feelings.
