as a NijiEN fan... I think brand loyalty is stupid, at this point. Every single day I have 30+ videos of stream VODS from both Hololive and Niji. It's just too much, I can barely watch one. I did it all for the girls this whole time. With Luxiem I only subbed to 2 of them, and with Noctyx I think this is time for a change. This is the first time I'm not following an entire Niji wave at all.
I did the same with HoloX too because back when they debuted I already felt like it's all just too much. I've always heard and repeated the advice that you "only need to watch the ones you like", but I think that advice also extends to following their twitter or subscribing to their YT now. I'd advise you to do the same and stop caring.

Here's the trick: you need to drop (and optionally anti) any vtuber who does anything you don't like, even once. If that doesn't narrow it down enough, you can then whittle them down more by believing /vt/ about anything negative they may have done in the past (fact checking optional), or alternatively search the fruit site to find something you don't like about their past. Of course you should never watch a vtuber who collabs with another you don't like. Once you go through these steps, you'll probably be left with just a handful to watch, or will have dropped the entire vtuber thing entirely. Either way you'll be better off.

It's weird, but I never watch vtubers vods anymore. The atmosphere of live streaming just never translates well, especially when compared to proper let's plays with good editing. Vtubing especially, you're not usually there for the game you're there for your oshi's company for a while, and watching a vod loses some of that magic
