I really like Lingo Deer, the way it teaches grammar really works for me. Wanikani for kanji if you want to go that route. And I'm a firm believer in watching streams as part of the learning experience. The streams don't actually teach you anything, but they've really helped my listening comprehension.

I've been listening and reading at the same time for more effective learning. So for example, I have my chat always open whenever I tune in a stream. Chat has a tendency to repeat or respond to the streamer whenever he said something. This way I can get 1) the characters (kanji more importantly) for what was said, 2) the context if it was a cultural reference I didn't get, or 3) simply get what was said if I missed it.
This is assuming you've already learned how to read kana (hiragana & katakana). If you haven't then that's first, though you don't need to be great at it because by reading chat you'll improve. This also won't help your writing aspect, but that's another matter because you can type using JP keyboard anyway. Grammar is uh... you'll get it anyway, just like how a native speaker learns his grammars lmao

I think other Anons could help with rating the Stars from the easiest to listen to the hardest, and the best chat to read from. I probably rate Robesan up there because his chat is pleasant to read, even though he speaks in dialect; then Aru-san and Oga for clear pronunciation and nice chat. Shien is fine but his chat emotes too much.
