If you were actually here back then, you would've known that Coco actively tried to drive away EOPs during her first few months. She straight up refused to speech English. It was only after Hololive exploded in the west, that she actually started to cater towards us.

3) Korone from Hololive's (cute bad english clips helped the trend/popularity pop off massively)
4) K-son / Kiryu Coco from hololive (same person, only boosted vtubing to the general EN audience after the trend was heading that way & her contract demanded it)
5) Gura/Senzawa (same person) & Nyanners brought in the ani-tuber flare to vtubing but nyanners was more influential content wise with gura being a more watered down cutesy UwU creator than her personal work
6) horny v-thots & money grabbers lewded the shit outta everything due to algorithm gaming & hornyposter simp farming
7) everyone else is just following a trend desu

4) Kiryu Coco - Trendsetter, Played an important part in popularizing Hololive (but is not the only one responsible for it), and paved the way for international VTubing (even though she didn't do english only streams and also isn't the first)

While Gura, Korone, etc are good at what they are doing, successful, and probably influenced people, I don't think they dramatically changed the VTubing landscape.

I think a lot of people are overestimating Coco's influence on the rise of vtubing in the west, and at the same time underestimating her meteoric rise and influence in jp with asacoco. But if anything, her part in having hololive pull out of china and her subsequent graduation have had a much more lasting impact

Can replace FBK with Sora if you want. Korone would not be there without the Fox. Hololive would not exist without Sora still dreaming about becoming an idol.

5th place should be someone as significant as the other 4... and there's none atm. Maybe it should go to someone from Myth. But I don't feel like a 3D-less vtuber deserves such a spot considering the other 4 names.
