Even with Ina, the one who supposedly got her in, she had like what, only 2-3 actual one-on-one collabs, so if "we need people who previously knew each other, so they are immediatly comfortable and can talk with each other!" really was the deciding argument here, they're not even taking full advantage of the potential anyway.
