/vt/ - Virtual Youtubers

1) is it even true?
i mean... we know past utaite stuff, mi-**** x mafumafu is a ship that a lot of people believe in, it's certainly not guaranteed (dating/cohabiting) but possible, if not likely. then again it does not even matter since we know mafumafu contacted rushia on stream and that in and of itself is enough to set off the fanbases that don't want these content creators talking to members of the opposite gender.
2) gachikois
gachikois are... dumb. no seriously the whole parasocial relationship thing with vtubers is stupid, hololive kinda plays into that with idols, but c'mon rushia kinda bred it with the gfe. not saying it's all rushia's fault because again, gachikois are stupid (same thing with the yumeshis from mafumafu's side, more on that later). either way, both share some blame in that the gachikois shouldn't be falling into the gfe and spending copious amounts of money to get rushia to "notice them" (the most money desu should be from people that have it completely expendable and would do it to more people or you consume so much of her regular content that you feel it worthwhile to member because you get extra content... that's it, none of that parasocial crap)
3) safety (aka yumeshis)
ok so this is mafumafu's fault for being bfe af. rushia being in danger because her bf or friend or whatever tf mafumafu is to her is not really her fault because the biggest danger arguably comes from mafu's fandom. now if they actually are dating i don't see it too unreasonable to argue that mi-**** should've told mafumafu to chill on the bfe side, but then again considering rushia gfe it was unreasonable. even still that still lies a little of the blame on her. now of course i also know that mafumafu was bfe even like well before 2018 or whenever (or even earlier desu) so that part of the blame for his backlash lies entirely on him. but to that end, it's kinda mafumafu's fault that his gf's or whatever rushia is' safety is maybe a bit threatened
4) overreactions
gachikois/yumeshis entirely to blame here: sure if you were expecting a gfe/bfe product and it gets revealed that the streamer was lying to you, you have a bit of a right to be upset (going back to the part of the blame that rushia/mafumafu have for cultivating such an audience), but why are you going after that gfe/bfe instead of... idk actually going and getting a real gf/bf or going to therapy or just being more social (practice makes perfect)? not trying to get into political shit on how governments/society should treat mental health but still if these people don't want to do things to change their lonely selves then a lot of the burden lies on them. thus an acceptable reaction for these (male and female) gachikois is to unsubscribe, unmember, stop donating, etc. from the content creators they watch. what is not acceptable are death threats, doxxing, and the like. that leads me into
5) don't ruin it for others
i am a guy. i like mafumafu's content: specifically quite a few of his songs (don't care too much for the covers, but mainly the originals and his old vocaloid stuff). i respect him as a composer, as a singer, and as a musician in general. you know what else: i respect lon as an utaite, and i would really hate for the same fate to befall mafumafu as it befell lon. in a similar vein, there are scores of people that respect rushia as a content creator and find her non-gfe stuff to be enjoyable (maybe her singing even). these people are going to support her and wish her no harm even if she ends up marrying mafumafu/anyone (really in any relationship status rushia is in) because they are there for the streamer's content regardless of gfe. those people would hate to see her graduate from hololive because of stupid gachikois. so really, while it is ok for the gachikois to be annoyed/upset and feel betrayed that the service that they were shown to expect from mafumafu/rushia was a lie, doing anything more than stopping support for the creators (i.e., becoming antis, doxxing, threatening violence, harassing, forcing to graduate, etc.) is just ruining it for everyone else that doesn't care if the two are together or not (like me).
6) what i (and everyone that isn't a schizo) am asking for:
please gachikois (of mafumafu and rushia), don't be complete and utter shitheads and ruin it for everyone else, though i know that that is probably too much to ask of you.

personally i think rushia x mafumafu would be cute and we'd get some banging utattemita off that so im all for it desu. also why i'm posting something to try and be reasonable on this site is beyond me
