In Japan, you do see that Women are more desperate to garner Men's attention and feel worthless because in Japanese Society they still have traditional values.

I'm actually a bit sceptical whether that's the case. People postulate it, e.g. referring to certain trends and fashions that seem subject to local culture, custom, time, etc. but I would be surprised if there were not some underlying bodily constants that are globally perceived as attractive. The aesthetic emphasising this or that aspect of this ground truth may differ, but it is ultimately a function of it.

Japan is struggling with the exact same problems as the west. Women are not getting married or getting married late, having few children. Men are struggling to find partners.

I don't think this is an issue of local culture but it's much more likely that this is related to civilisation itself, liberal society that grants the individual rights and autonomy rather than making them adhere to tradition, modern media, etc.

No, they're not. The average man is much more likely to message the average woman than the average woman is likely to message the average man.

The variability hypothesis has been confirmed empirically in various instances, e.g. regarding intelligence. You will find a lot more male geniuses and male retards, whereas women tend to be midwits. In terms of anti-social behaviour you also find men to be represented in much higher numbers, given the disparity in prison populations.
These differing distributions tie into different breeding patterns. If you have a sexually dimorphic species that are differentially selective, e.g. women only breeding with the top 20% of men and men breeding with all but the bottom 20% of women, then a normal distribution will assume its probabilistic optimum with regard to maximising a population capable of breeding.
