Old time lurker here. The thing about the /jp/ thread is that they have a lot of unspoken rules and most of it is exist even before the split with /vyt/. So, unless you've lurked /vyt/ for at least 2 years you won't know any of it. For example, never shorten nijisanji to niji outside of official terms.
