Yes, over ten years ago, people change. There's a difference between liking porn of something and just liking the aesthetic. I think there's cute loli characters out there too and I'm not really into the porn. That's why they need to stifle the growth of creators that are just on there to live stream or post short videos once in a while. The bar of entry to get paid by Youtube is high as fuck and hinges on consistency. You need to prove that you regularly make content that gets watched a lot and can be plastered with ads. Your content needs to be monetizable or it's worthless in their eyes. If you are profiting more than Youtube, they consider you a leech and they are more than happy to axe your channel or look the other way when some company wants to abuse the copyright system to rape you.

If you want to assume the $2.50 rate per sub, you only need 464 subscribers to make US minimum wage. It's roughly $1160 before taxes, insurance, etc.
