It's easy to build the core of your deck, as most archetypes only have a few URs and the rest is SRs, Rs and Ns which are easy to get.
Then you need to cheap off with R and SR staples because all the good staples are UR.

You have to follow some tutorials, because going blind might end up with you spending your gems with useless stuff. I have this Altergeist deck + Evil twin, and I also have 10k gems sitting on my account.

Most Yugioh decks also use the same staples cards making future decks cheaper to build.

There's no ingame strategy or ingame skill involved in modern Yugioh, it's just how to win in 1 turn via deck structure. There's no long term plans, no on the fly critical thinking in response to plays, no viable slow acting compositions.

The problem with Archetypes is that you are obligated to play the best cards of whatever archetype you choose. There are few generic cards like forehead loli and then everything else is your engine/tutors/bossmonster of whatever flavor you choose while most of the cards don't work outside it.
