More great writing from the man himself. I liked the one-on-one time Anon had with Marine, it gave more depth to their relationship rather than being in a group together all the time. I feel like the story could have been trimmed up a touch to allow more to happen in less words, but your writing style is my favourite to read so it wasn't really an issue. In the beginning when Anon was trying to separate himself from his friends and go alone while keeping his worries to himself, it felt a bit weird because of his big speech at the end of part 5 (although admittedly that was about a different problem) and made that speech feel a little less meaningful. Also did you do dice rolls for this story? There wasn't the usual resultant rolls while fighting the leviathan or the usual dice roll breakdown at the end.
I love the sheer depth you're adding to this world you've created and am very interested in seeing it explored. Holofan is always a great read and I'm excited to meet the new characters. Godspeed you beautiful bastard, hope you recover sooner rather than later.

There's a sheet but I forgot to attach it and was planning on doing it at the end. Hiiglane's rolls weren't incredibly interesting as it wasn't traditional combat, but stuff like Marine being chosen, finding the first part of the pendant, stuff like that were rolled. Funnily enough, Anon being unable to discuss being traumatized out of trying to protect the people he loves was a roll. In character, I imagine it's more like an extremist flip born from a twisted sense of duty - instead of being unable to discuss what's bothering him because he, under the surface, is a bit scarred by them, it's instead devolved into trying to force himself to be strong enough to shrug it off and keep everyone from harm no matter what out of a twisted sense of duty. It's exactly why Marine exploded at him ASAP.

I feel the exact same as you, I don't keep stories that weren't well received and I ask AA to pull them from the archive (assuming they didn't critique it because of who I was, and not because of the story itself) after some thinking about it. I think you have a passion for writing what you have, and not a passion to improve, and that's a big problem. I really long for the day in which people will always like what I put out, no matter what it is, much like AA I suppose, but my main goal is drawing, this is my side hobby only.
