I welcome it. The issue with dividends beyond being a money-printing machine is that they really are same-y. This would effectively make two competing strategies viable: do you focus on daytrading, OR do you play mostly for dividends. In the current state of the game, what happened was that people just hoarded coins with little regard for dividends and then daytraded as a side-dish.

"Increased spread" means more coins are going to end up in the gutter. Right now, low-dividend coins are not coincidentally also the low-performers that (as one anon put it) you profit from like squeezing blood from a stone. Widening the range on dividends actively hurts these coins, for the same reason that their adjustments are miniscule. This means that only oshicoiners will be buying, which is a slap in the face considering you can oshicoin Mori and ride the gravy train.
Low-performers should be a gamble to buy, not outright useless.

I can't think of a single time that an ID hit the adjustment cap. Even NNN was only a 5k spike, and that's the biggest boom anyone in ID gets all year. I've considered ID to effectively be daytrading-only for months now. Even better coins like Ollie, Moona, or Reine rarely are a better 'hold' than any of the 15-20 coins above them.
