Kaede is under Lantis takes care of her very well as she has already released two singles and did one concert with them plus whenever she releases something they make sure that she pops up in not less than 7 different radio shows and at least 2 TV shows to promote her single. Plus they also show her MVs as TV commercials, and she even got a tie up and sung the opening of an anime (though it wasn't really a popular one).
Sadly Deron doesn't really get big numbers because I guess she just isn't clicking with the masses.
As for Mito, the other one under Sony, they're investing really hard on her, her album was made by various popular composers including the guy who composed Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei OST and other famous Japanese names which made it spread to many people even non-vtuber watchers and even ranked 5th in Oricon Daily. Her 1st solo live was successful and they gave Mito her new 3D label outfit that they give to livers who are under music labels. The brutal truth is that simply "being good/high effort" doesn't generate numbers. The real question is "why should I care?" And even then, you don't have super consistent results - for example, Ina animating her own MV for the first time for Tabi no Tochuu hit 1m in just over two weeks, while Kanata doing her own mixing for the first time in her cover of Ashura-chan didn't do shit for numbers (probably because the mix was kinda ass). Zatsus are honestly like the mid-range game of vtubing. It doesn't really help in channel growth unless you use it to bait for out of context clips, but it does keep your core audience engaged.
