Looking at the game they won, I noticed something weird happened. It seemed like the server had a very interesting interpretation of what had happened.

None of these players have a gold knockdown shield, so presumably at this point the server determines that both squads should be eliminated.

Now why did this happen? It doesn't seem to be due to anything like join order, alphabetical order, or even latency. My personal theory is that it may have had something to do with kill attribution.
Because of how kill attribution works with the ring, the one that did the last bit of damage to a person that dies to the ring gets credit for the kill. However, if nobody alive did damage to them, they get no credit and it's just a ring kill.
The thing is that unlike all of the other players here, someone did inflict damage to Towa before she went down. That is to say, Towa's own arc star. This likely forced an additional server calculation to cancel out the kill attribution and let it default to a regular ring kill. However, this extra process step was one more than everyone else who died to the ring normally. Thus you see everyone else dead (and not just crawling around) except for Towa. In other words, I am suggesting that Towa's 108 IQ arc star might have very well given them the victory as it caused them to win the tick battle.
