Gender mainly comes into play when finding audiences to target. There's not a very large Female audience when it comes to people who actively seek out vtubers to watch, so you either have to find one (which is what Kenji did on Tiktok) or you'll struggle because a majority of the men watching vtubers are interested in women for one reason or another. For Vtubers I find myself mainly watching female streamers while with normal IRL streamers I watch almost exclusively males.
