It's a tournament. Different generals / boards compete against other generals / boards. The manager needs to both understand how football/soccer is played, and how the game software itself works. Your team is defaulted to faceless anonymous men, but the manager would provide the organizers with special models for different players on the team if they exist, as well as a team anthem, goal sounds, scoring music on an individual player basis, etc. The manager must be available and present for every game, as they act like a coach during the game and can make calls like player substitutions, etc., but otherwise the two teams face off in a simulated match with the computer playing both teams. But I've watched many cups over the years, and they'll just kick you out if there isn't someone knowledgeable running the team, as they have no interest in doing all the work for you boards/generals, so someone would have to organize and manage the team and they'd have to be knowledgeable.

I've been watching you guys talk about divegrass from the archives, and I saw her tweet. /vt/ League would be glad to have you, if you want to participate.

You don't need a manager to do tactics, I make tactics for teams that can't get a manager. Instead, you can have a caretaker, whose job is basically thread relations (making a roster, telling about the roster, maintaining the wiki page). You're free to get an actual anon from the thread to be a manager if you'd like though.

We can help you with aesthetics/models too as needed, boxheads are just the bare minimum and only take maybe 2 hours to do a full team of, but getting good aesthetics for every team is the goal. No promises, though, of course.

Additionally, would like to point out a team that had tactics made by me won /vt/ League 1 (and another finished 3rd). They're not meant to be bad tactics I give out.

As for the >discord thing, caretakers don't need to be verified (but again, they're not allowed to make team tactics). Managers have to be verified by me on >discord. After that, you can fuck off from the server, if you'd like.
