Here's Today's Read! (again, how am I always posting them just as a thread dies?)

The day will be in the sign of the Ace of Wands. This card stands for inspiration, growth and potential. If you're looking to get started on something, this is the day for you! Go get working on that sketch, or if you're planning to do your reps, you'll see a lot of development!

The biggest hurdle of the day will be Eight of Wands. It is a card that represents action, fast paced change, and things just generally zooming by. The cards recommend that you think about the Tower for today. It's another card that represents change, in this case very sudden, explosive and completely unforeseen. Chaos and awakenings, revalations and upheavals! To creatures of habit, this is a horrible card, but it doesn't necessarily bring with it worries despite what is on the Card. Instead of worrying about the upcoming changes, be loose and ready to bend like a branch in the wind, because if you don't you'll get uprooted or crack.

Yeah it's just a fun thing to do. It's also good to "deprogram" your brain of its current thought pattern. We tend to often look in on certain thoughts or concepts as being absolute, and then we try to think around them, instead of just looking at it from a different perspective. This especially comes true when we think about relationships and the risks/rewards of human interaction.

So I believe in these cards about as much as I believe in a rorschach test. They're a foundation for further reflection. I'm surprised they're not a common tool in therapy, to be honest.

There have been more posts that have been negative about corporations recently. Someone analysed how much Megbert was earning now that she went corpo, and its possible she's earning less.
Even outside of /wvt/, people tried to calculate how much K-Son was earning without corpo backing, and it seems she's been earning more due to not having HoloLive's cut.

The biggest benefit seems to be joining and getting a advertising buff, but that's not a reason to stay... I think this is obvious from the rest of my post but I prefer something like Krimbo's Krew.

I don't feel any ill will towards anybody that goes corpo, get that bread by all means. But I have less than zero interest in watching someone deal with permissions autism or abrupt "management decisions" that stall planned events at the 11th hour, or worse some straight-up black company shit. When I first started streaming, this was my dream. Now I'm not so sure. I think I would like the comfort of being in a group because a lot of times I feel insecure about how I'm performing, but I don't think the usual corpos are that supportive.

1) Very proud. It was /hlgg/ dream and the reason the exile took place, and the reason I left my brethren to dwell in furry forum.

I however do not believe every vtuber should be a corpo or should want to be a corpo. As Urara said, it is more important to see if you would like the people that are there because synergy with genmates is crucial. If you want to go higher but want to remain indie, hire a manager. An actual manager, not someone you know.

3) It does not. As an indie, you are doing everything for yourself. This is not sustainable.
Your own clips, your own assets, your own marketing. A corpo provides this in exchange for a cut (or at least should, assuming you didn't join a black one). The main benefit of being an indie is that it can remain a hobby. The second you turn Corpo it's a job, with all that it implies.
You are allowed to hate your job, but if you hate your hobby you are a bit dumb since you can quit anytime. This is the thing you will have to think about the most.

Indies going corpo is the goal to me desu, as long as it's not a black company. I'm not inherently critical of corpos and think indies can do with the benefits they can offer. At the very least being noticed in this way is something of an accomplishment. I just wish the whole graduation and reincarnation part wasn't necessary.

Um. Well. I am not sure how to respond to this. Maybe... I have made lots of friends here. I went into this wanting to connect with people and get to know people and try to reach out and make friends. Even starting to post here, I wanted to overcome my fears of socializing... unlurking and try to do something I felt would be beneficial to people around me. Sorry that may not be answering your question, but I struggle with my perception of things a lot. I see other vtubers around me getting much more love or having many more friends or having an easier time reaching out to people they admire or something. We all work hard and we all sort of put ourselves out there and hope we can get that in return. I tried a lot in roommate land to do the same and never had any real success or never understood how to go about doing things in a way that helps me get close to people or learn to be a "normal" person. Oh, good question! I have a few chuubas I have already spoken to about doing more content that I prefer in the next month, but I really want to find more reading/literary chuubas! I feel way more confident now than I did before and I think it would be super fun. I also want to do readings with viewers I have that are more inclined towards literature, since many of them have given me amazing sci-fi recommendations, but I have no idea how I will be able to do that... still figuring it out.

more or less. like, say you want to stream Code Vein. As an indie you just stream it, right? As a corpo (at least with the big ones and any smaller ones trying to imitate them) you have to get permission from the publishers to stream it. A lot of the time it isn't that big of a deal but I know I've seen other cases where a corporate vtuber had to all but publicly campaign for the right to just stream a game. Nevermind stuff like fangames, romhacks, etc.

i've seen some videos about the paradox and the great filter from kurzgesagt like any other pleb scratching the surface level of science videos, but they helped develop my own interpretation of space and religion, even if very shallow. we've been very fortunate as a species and managed to get here, and i'm happy with not having to deal with all the uncertainties of someone born during the age of space exploration and watch vtubers instead

1. I don't like corpo streaming much in general, and I don't care for the whole idol culture that gets attached to vtubing, but I understand its benefits and why people would want to do it. I'm less bothered by it when the indies get to keep their persona like with Cyberlive IIRC. You just can't beat indie freedom, as far as options for content.
2. As hands-off as I can be. Basically just a group for networking and pooling resources for marketing or projects and that's it. If I had to go all in and make a cohesive, themed group, I'd go with something tacticool kind of like Whiskey Project.
3. See above. As a viewer, I'd rather the streamer be free than be big.
4. Clean designs, or well-coordinated ones if they're going to be complex. As far as archetypes, I like professional or business wear.
