This was prior to her life as a vtuber. She was a major part of the American idol scene in the background, running cons and doing logistics. She acquired a personal schizo because of this position, someone who felt slighted by not being booked for a con she was running or some similar petty girl thing to care about, and that schizo trashed her all over /cgl/ for like a year straight, with all kinds of batshit insane ramblings, and evidence of her "crimes" that amounted to "dude trust me bro". She's actually an absolute sweetheart of a person and is very well liked in the western chan indie scene, and has collabed with other notable /here/ vtubers like Koopa.

It's also has better working chat and the quirks like channel points, bit fluffs and especially gift subs allows for creation of more closet-knitted communities which is for some streamers actually more important than big numbers.
Also from viewers side i can say that option to use coupons like paysafe card instead of connecting my bank account to support my favorite streamers is so fucking convenient.

Yes, Twitch staff is atrocious in doing their job and bigger communities are pure garbo but desu Hololive members "communities" are mostly cancer, too. It's just Youtube chat is pretty much unreadable so you don't notice it that much.
