I wouldn't go that far, like I said it depends on the amount of effort put in. I know using myself is anecdotal, but I've been streaming to about 20-30 people for a year and a half now, going as low as 15 sometimes. I also put zero effort in. No schedule, I play what I want, I don't upload clips. All my viewers were pretty much gained through networking (See: Socializing with others) and the abysmally low chance some of them happened to see me recommended to them. I've put in next to no effort to grow, so of course I haven't grown.

I think that if people are actively putting in REAL effort to grow and still not seeing any numbers whatsoever after an extended amount of time then yeah, you're probably ngmi, but I do recognize that there's people who just take more time to learn what they need to do to grow than others, so saying you're ngmi just because you don't have 20 average in a few months isn't really a true at all.

You have to avoid playing niche games. No one wants to watch you play some game that only five people have heard about. Stick to FOTM games if you want to grow.

Make an exhaustive list of topics that you can pull from to avoid dead air. The worst thing you can do as a streamer is stop talking for any reason. If you make it to 100+ consistent viewers, then you can finally rest your vocal chords for more than five seconds.

Clip everything that you think may be funny, post them everywhere you can, and if you have the skills put them into compilation videos on your YouTube.

Don't even try to make curated content. No one wants to watch that. The same can be said about unique content, whatever that may mean to you.

Your growth should mostly happen offline, period. In part that's actually a side effect of twitch. The algo works in ways that it ends up connecting a lot of chuubas here with each other whether they really interact with each other a lot or not. Raids help a fuck ton too. Chances are they might have been watching her on youtube already, but YT's viewer list doesn't show lurkers while twitch's does so they become more visible there too.

Seeing as though people are talking about clipping (once again) and the usage of TikTok. I'll share what little I've learned in the two/three weeks since I've tried being more consistent with TikTok.
Currently I have 637 followers and 6454 likes on TikTok. I noted some of the new followers on Twitch and I think about 7 people followed me from TikTok (I assume because they were follows at random points in the day when I wasn't streaming). The other day one of those people actually came into a stream saying "I found you on TikTok".
Now of course, these numbers are miniscule. but the effort was also not too much on my end either. admittedly I do add a little extra to the clips I post, with some minimal editing and subtitiles being added. But to be fair I kinda enjoyed learning the process too so it was fun for me.
Something interesting to note though, is it seems like now more often than not, with each new video I upload, it's like a snowball effect, where they are doing significantly better than the stuff I posted months ago on a whim. Maybe explaining the consistency is key thing.

don't think lot of people realize this, but editing is a part of content creation whether you're a streamer or not. It isn't just an extra side skill or something, it's as important as knowing how your broadcasting software, model, and other live-streaming related mechanics work. I don't think anyone can be a successful content creator without either hiring an editor (or having fans step up) or learning how to edit unless they're just so good they get the clipper accounts interested. The only thing I'd say which I've noticed in your videos is to be aware of the TikTok overlay. - scrub through your VODs at 2X speed, literally halves the time and you can still mentally process all the dialog
- if you remember a funny moment but didn't marker it, BUT you remember chat's reaction to it, you can use the twitch-chat-downloader script to download the chatlogs and Ctrl+F on the chat text. they're fully timestamped so you'll be given a pretty good point to look for. this is also invaluable if you're trying to make an edit along the lines of "every time [streamer] says/does thing" and chat reacts every time it happens, I've turned a potential 10+ hours of VOD scrubbing into an hour or so with this.

I took Anon's advice and boosted the difficult and did 35 minutes. Hooks were introduced, but hooks and straights register the same even if you mix them up lmao.

My arms and back were kind of hurting today before working out in a good way. I work in an office so I don't move too much and it was nice that I felt something after all the workout.
