Nigga, Hololive is LITERALLY "nepotism, the company". Very few, if any, of their talent was hired out of the blue (probably [REDACTED] , but good luck getting an answer to that one) and it was always someone-who-knew-someone from either the vtuber business or the idol business (rrat has it that Towa and Nene know each other as both are failed idols, but nothing's been confirmed).
