Its like baseball with sabrmetrics vs. traditional counting stats. Sure, based on counting stats Pekora is going to beat Gura because she streams a lot more. Total VOD views and watch hours will always go to Pekora. However, even sports like baseball with sabrmetrics have moved away from traditional counting stats and are more focused on rate stats. Take Pete Rose for example. He is the all time hits leader in MLB history (4256 hits), however, his career OPS+ is only 118 which places him as a good hitter, but not great and certainly far far off from the greatest of all time. His 83 oWAR pretty much says the same thing. That is a good number but far off from what the greatest of all time have put up. If Gura streamed to the same volume Pekora does there is no doubt in my mind she would crush her in total VOD views. Much like how if any of the greatest hitters of all time in MLB played for as long and had the sheer amount of at bats that Pete Rose had that they would have more career hits.

Now don't get me wrong. I am not discounting volume/longevity. There is a reason Pete Rose was effective for so long and there is a lot to say for Pekora's consistent performance while streaming every single day just about. Those are valuable traits to have and I'm not discounting what Pekora does at all despite showing that the rate stats favor Gura.
