I just write poetry for myself so I don't quite feel comfortable saying one way or the other but things that help me are reading what I'm writing aloud a few times as I tend to think all poetry is meant to be spoken.
Also rhyming dictionary, a thesaurus and https://www.howmanysyllables.com/ are all useful.

Reading up about different poetry structure may help give you some idea of different directions you can go.
Even then there are many different ways to start with a poem; from trying to express a singular feeling/concept to making restrictions and using those to build the poem.

I tend to find poetic structures I find interesting, and then use the structure as a prompt to make poetry, the content of the poem is usually a byproduct of the restraints. As long as you see meaning in your poetry and you enjoy doing it, keep at it, the only way to get better is to keep writing and reading the poetry of others.

I enjoy the structure you chose here, as the previous anon I mentioned said, using a site like howmanysyllables can help you maintain the rhythm of your poems, if you're interested in doing so.The North Star poem was mine, but I will say that you're doing extremely well as an ESL, I can barely speak English and I've been doing it all my life.

Keep at it anon, I look forward to any future work you do. You may stumble upon a particular poetic style that you find inspiring, be it highly structured or prose, but once you do I think you'll find it a lot easier when you find what works best for you

I don't think she's unachievable, but I have too much self-respect to attempt the oil baron > jannie > slide into DMs route. Far from putting her on a pedestal, she's a bit stupid and immature, though it's cute so it's fine.
