Selen hits a lot of the right requirements for being relatable in general. She's not an uninspired mimicry of a vtuber fan, but she's also not so alien that people just can't relate. Being fun and interesting is the most important aspect of vtubing, and it was obvious from the start that Selen had a lot going for her that'd give her formidable staying power within nijisanji. She's still at the mercy of the market, but she's better poised to weather the lows and capitalize on the highs.
