Just something to do to unwind and improve your psyche.

This is partially correct I guess. Not sure where you get the idea of no one stopping by unless it's a flavor of the month game/topic. The problem with streaming daily is that it doesn't really benefit you. The grind is dead. You're better off spending those days when you aren't live but have freetime re-watching and clipping your own content, learning to edit (or find an editor to pay to make your clips into a highlight like Randon), networking reps, and possibly looking into making some non-stream content if that's your thing. A majority of your new viewership should be coming in while you're offline since it won't come while you're live.

I know what you mean, Vamp. Seeing some of my friends able to stream every day, I get kind of jealous.
But I've got a 9-5 job that pays more than I could hope to ever gain from chuubing, and I need to take time for the gym, and other hobbies.
I did have one week, where I streamed every weekday - I had a celebration stream on a normal day off, my normal three streams, and then my DnD group cancelled, so I had the other day off free too.
It's fucking exhausting. I'd get back from work, shovel food down, workout for an hour, take the dog out, boot up the PC, be happy-fun-times streamer for three hours, hit the bed, repeat.
It seems to be a LOT easier for students to get the time to do it, although they don't have the money. I mean, I just decided to upgrade stuff, so I bought a new mic, model, and overlays yesterday. Sure, it means I can't have an expensive meal out this month, but I'm not living on rice and beans anyway.

Yeah I actually had a lot of time off during the summer and I streamed six days a week. It was exhausting but I’m glad I was able to in order to level up my work.

I think it’s more like what another anon said. Time to edit clips and content, to network and make friends, that I feel I’m lacking.

I’ve been able to get better at not looking at numbers though. I click off the viewer number with the twitch dashboard and it helps keep me from getting nervous about it.

If that's making it then there's streamers with hundreds of viewers who can't do that yet. Humoring this though, Kenji started what seems like only a month ago and is already inclining off of one clip he's well on the way to topping anyone on the list.

Papi has started that he's able to stream full time and he said that at about 100-or so average so I'd say yeah. It also depends on how well you're able to extract money from viewers which isn't always about the viewer count. I've got 20 viewers myself but I receive a twitch payout every single month without fail, meanwhile I'm friends with chuuas twice that who don't, even female ones and I'm m*le.

A lot of the /here/ crowd goes live in the morning for me, so as I'm settling into work my phone goes off with like a dozen twitch notifications every day and I just feel terrible that I can't do the same. As viewers, how do you want to see collabs organized?

The way I see it, there's two ways to 'host' a collab
1 - Everyone taking part goes live, streams their side
2 - One person hosts, and everyone else guest-stars on one channel.

I've seen both used, and both have benefits - if everyone goes live, then every viewer will get the notification. But it also splits the viewerbase. If only one person goes live, it's a bigger boost for them, but nobody else gets much primary benefit - I haven't clicked follow on a collab partner... ever?

With that in mind, unless something has changed the bounties posted typically only ever apply to the biggest of streamers on the site, even if it does list affiliate the affiliates they have in mind are people who are extremely big and just haven't/can't/won't take the partnership. Historically those really cringe "realistic" ads you might see on Twitch from time to time featuring real IRL streamers in totally real situations eating a big mac or spilling soda and wiping it with [brand name paper towel] are also bounties.

They're also not exclusive to shitty mobile games either, there's been streamers I watch who take bounties and actually just play some random 20 dollar steam game that looks halfway good.

I vastly prefer it to be on one stream. Multi-stream places like Kadgar are okay but if you’re not subbed you’ll get ad delays every two minutes or so plus you don’t get any points for watching.

I think it depends on the size of the collab. I think it's fine to host on both if it's a 2 person collab. It's a more direct way of sharing viewership and your communities.

If it's a 3+ person collab I think it should be limited to half the number of people taking part at the very least. 4 people streaming at once gets messy and divides viewership too much.

oh and for the most part the bounty board is dead aside from the occasional big release (MH, Sekiro, etc), smart advertisers are just going directly to the streamer to sponsor them. Most of the bounties streamers I watch nowadays are just "run this ad for some audiobook/netflix show/movie" and that's it. Game ones, even shitty ones, are pretty rare these days.

There’s a reason Holos host most games too. Among us is different because you spend a lot of time silent from others which gives time for chat interaction.

I think it's better for both parties to host just because there's gonna be people that like [x] but don't like or know [y] and it's better for them to have their preferred POV. That and if something goes wrong on one end there's always the other as a backup. It's not like people need to multi-stream drift a collab.
Granted I'm talking solely about 1 on 1 collabs since I don't really watch larger ones. After a certain point it just feels like a cacophony of noise that's done for the sake of networking rather than a genuine bonding moment between people.
