There aren't a lot of native Japanese girls truly fluent in English who are also interested in vtubing who are also talented and also naturally have a good voice. Like probably just a handful on the planet, and Cover already picked one up (Irys). Maybe there'll be more in the future but for English tubers getting hardcore weebs and random US/leaf Asians makes pretty good sense so that they don't just wind up hiring 10 Ninas.
