Companies that care about their talents give them a year to establish a fanbase before dumping another gen onto the market. It would be really stupid and wasteful to do something like release 4 waves within in a 6 month period, it robs all the attention from each preceding gen before they can get their max potential following.

>> No.10970357

The bigger question is why is it okay for them boost their MVs by putting them in youtube ads. Just just screams scummy and saying you have no confidence that people will watch the song without the help. Just compare the debut MVs from back then to where it is now, it's clear they would've performed horribly without the youtube ad boost. Diamond City Lights has 1.2m views after being out for over 4 months vs. Country Roads at 3.1m released at around the same time.

What market do you think Nijisanji is operating in? The vtuber market hit oversaturation ages ago, hence all of the 0view indies on Twitch. As for audience retention, Lazulight and Obsydia were both sitting at around an average 1.5k (yes yes far from Hololive numbers but that's been the case from the beginning) views yesterday, so whatever that hard limit is they're far from hitting it.

Only numberfags care about this anon. Ad views of the songs cost them money instead of bringing it in, and the songs' views fell off a cliff the instant the ad spend stopped, so it didn't boost them in the algorithm either.

People bitched about how slow cover was in putting out another EN though. 1 year is way too long and runs the risk of people getting bored of watching the same set of people.

>> No.10972048

>>10971806
Some of their official clips were actually pretty successful (100-300k views), and now they have more brand recognition in the West it'd be the perfect time to try to capitalize on that to build interest in their existing talent
So naturally they told all the clippers they hired to fuck off and the official EN channel now only posts NijiEN shorts that nobody watches
I think they secretly poached their EN managers from Cover

I think what hurt Cover is that they took ages to put out a new gen when they had the hype of Holomyth behind them, on top of sort of being bubbled off for a bit from other groups. Some will probably argue that it's a good thing, but it didn't exactly help due to the language barrier with the JP branch.
Thankfully later this year seemed to be a course correct of sorts.

>> No.10977641

problem is they waited too long to release a successive gen but now to release multiple too soon would be viewership suicide

>> No.10977983

>>10970265
Don't be facetious. The only reason why Hololive EN is as big as it is today is because there were tons of chink clippers translating clips from JP for over a year before EN debuted, and EN debuted at just the right time to capture the western audience. Nothing about Cover management or policies is the reason why they succeeded with EN. They fell assbackwards into success.
