NijiEN audience is completely different from the regular Niji audience.
It's almost all previous (or current) HoloEN viewers.
Nijisanji purposedely targetted those people with the style they went for and 3 full waves of strictly only girls, and debuting males as a separate thing.

The obvious benefit was directly starting with an existing market instead of growing your own, which is more risky.
But now, good luck shifting back into actual Nijisanji, most NijiEN fans won't admit it but they still are heavily influenced by Hololive standards and project those on the Niji girls. Even the girls will probably feel pressured not to go out of their way to interact with the guys because that's what is expected from an audience that only ever knew Hololive.
The sad and likely result will be the male wave being isolated and only getting a rare collab every now and then, barely interacting with the girls on twitter, basically holostar treatement. This is the result of waiting 4 waves before introducing males, and having strictly non-mix gens, it's probably already too late.

Why do you think HoloEN girls still avoid male interaction and would never dare even alluding to a current relationship or even a previous one? Something many Niji girls would have no trouble with.
Most idolfags and unicorns will of course never make themselves visible openly, but they're definitely there and not a minority. Just bae drolling over Roberu had a lot of seething that wasn't limited to this board, and people annoyed by the fanarts.
NijiEN audience is >90% just HoloEN viewers for now, and they very much will make those exceptation weight, you will never see the natural male/female interaction of NijiJP in the EN branch, not with the way AnyColor decided to approach the English market.

You don't realize how many of NijiEN is just previous or current Holo fans. Nijisanji went after that market which isn't their usual style, but was safer. You better realize now how NijiEN has literally nothing to do with the Nijisanji you know and how they will abid to Hololive standards which sadly define vtubing in the west outside of the Vshojo sphere.

Little_S_ is among the most entertaining game-focused vtuber around, manage to keep a high level of gameplay while constantly reading and interacting with a relatively active chat AND changing his charcter expression with pedals on the fly.
However he's just a snake, so it can filter some people.
