More than once (including the right after her most recent return) Ayame live2D malfunctioned and she simply PNG streamed to a 30k+ audience.

It’s not the design, it’s the voice and the entertainment provided. This should be patently obvious when Mito unseated the “let’s play” predecessors with a scuffed model (compared to Kizuna’s still unparalleled perfection) simply by doing it live and being entertaining.

No it doesn't, some of Niji's best 3D quality, like Mao's recent 3D debut, gets only 57k, whereas Ib's shit 3D got 115k and he didn't even do shit except play pachinko for 50 minutes.

3D quality never affected numbers, popular does.
Just look at the Hologen 3 3D collab that got 94k despite having the worst 3D in recent memory and AZKI's concerts doing literally 10x worse with much better 3D.

Anyone who have watched enough Nijisanji 3D events would know that they do have some issues here and there, it's silly to deny the fact. The thing is, if you sum up everything up, their live events are still the best on the market. Kizuna AI's model is hard to match but her 3D lives usually have issues with lighting and effects. KAMITSUBAKI STUDIO's live events are pretty good but their models look uncanny. Hololive is stuck in 2018-2019. 774 is decent but that's it. Other companies are even worse. Haven't watched much Chinese concerts, they're probably better than average.
