How are you feeling about divs this week? What about the game in general? We are comfortable with these values and % returns so the scalling is somewhat done and won’t change on the next weeks.

However, we are discussing a change in div mechanics which I would like to introduce:

We’re studying div payments being taken from a total pool ( based on channel performance) and dividing it by shares in circulation to reach a div per share amount and pay the players according to it. This implementation has the advantage of introducing an additional factor into the calculations, leading to more complex decision making, while also introducing a player dependent component, which could shake up the meta and brings the possibility of smart players finding overlooked coins with good divs and small circulation.

This would obviously change the entire long term strategy of the game so we will give plenty of time for investors to change positions. For now I’m testing the waters, so, what do you think?

As it'd increase the mechanical interaction between players I'm all for it. The hard numbers are always something that can be optimized so I can see the benefit of the idea.

Divs are fucking spot on 11/10 from me, hovering around 10% is the best, gives enough room to make plays without wanting to kill yourself, it doesn't turn into "I have 12 coins buying 24/7" or "I fucking bought 2 coins and I'm already out", really good change.
The div change sounds interesting but depending how big is the pool to divide it could get very cancerous, volume keeps going up and up and up so divs with that system would just go down over time.
And I think we reached a more stable point in general, inflation doesn't seem to crazy, divs don't fuel it, there's some bogs here and there, some moons too, for now I'd say to focus on new features (more gacha items/auctions/the planned stuff) and let the market play for another week to see how we end up, also can we get >>10369041

Changing dividends in this manner doesn't solve the root problem, which is that players have very little incentive to sell outside of very atypical circumstances.
The Ain't Sellin' meta is so strong that it has weathered no less than three major mechanical changes without much incident. With dividends lower, players have even LESS reason to sell since buying back in could cut into profits by way of taxes and inflation.
Shares should move. Even I sell Choco for liquid when she goes up, but I know most people don't bother unless it's Mori or a special event. Unless you can heavily discourage the practice of hoarding shares, we're going to keep running into this problem.

Make adjustment plays more important than dividend plays. One way is to make cuts deeper and rises higher. Make each coin have a "baseline" value that it will move towards on days where they get average performance.
Alternatively, assign an internal system that measures performance on performance averages (both the chuuba and all coins overall) and use that to determine prices.

Distributing dividend based on coin volume circulation makes shitcoins even worse than they already are. Pekora having high volume doesn't matter when something like 45% of all Pekora in circulation is within the top 20 wallets.

I enjoy the idea of adding player driven mechanics to divs to promote more decision making but I don't think basing it on shares is the way to go. It'd be hard for everyone (especially newfags) to buy in because the richfags have large positions in all coins right now. Everyone who is not top 20 would just get BTFO from getting div money because of the sheer number of coins the older players have. Say haachama is graduating and performace is through the roof. You can 5x 24/7 and you wont be able to scratch the pot with the Haaton 5 running around.
