How important is it for a vtuber to be sexy? How much does a sex appeal effect his/her popularity?
What design features make a vtuber sexy?
Is there a certain pattern that vtuber designers utilise or avoid?
How big of a role does a voice play in an overall sexual appeal of a vtuber?
Is it healthy to be sexually attracted to vtubers?
Why are there so many footfags in the community given that you see the upper half of a model most of the time?


Like, there are two good subjectively examples.
Selen from nijisanji and Sana from hololive.
Relatively speaking, Sana is much less popular by HoloEN standards than other gen2 girls.
While Selen is extremely popular by NijiEN standards.
How much does their models and sexual appeal effect their popularity?

It's a combination of voice, charisma, model, talent, streaming experience and luck.
Some Vtubers are carried completely by their voice and/or model. (Ayame)
Sometimes a model that fills a certain coomer/cute niche will get you attention but that won't mean the people will stay. Anya and the initial hype she had with being an oppai loli is a good example of this.
I'd say that a sexy model that fills a certain underrepresented niche will get you more attention (if you work for an agency that has a built in audience) but it won't get you a guaranteed viewership if you don't have the other required factors.
