I only spent an hour watching her content and while she has a nice voice and a cute personality, her microphone or recording/streaming room needs a lot of work. When she said that she has only been interested in vtubers for only 6 months it was kind of a red flag but on the other hand it's impressive that she's done as much streaming as she has without really knowing too much about the field of vtubers out there.

I'm one of them and I'll be frank, this is the third(?) /fvr/ thread I've been in so obviously I'm not up to date on many of the specifics.

For me, the biggest hurdle is discover-ability because unless you're already subbed to someone on Youtube you won't ever find their stream. This is further compounded by the fact that in the initial rush, only Sena has maintained a steady schedule and she was rewarded with the highest CCV. Minna *could* have had that but with there being multiple Minnas and the inconsistent streaming schedule her popularity was doomed from the start and then there's the rest of the FlaVR crowd that either dropped streaming or had streamer shuffles.

Frankly, it was a pretty bad first impression for a lot of normies on Pippa's streams which is why the second wave of FlaVR never caught the same amount of attention and interest as the first wave did; hell, I still can't fully place a voice+model to some of the names in this thread.

So this loops back to the first problem in that it's hard to get new viewers onto Youtube as a streaming platform and it's doubly hard to get people to check out a FlaVR stream especially if you're not part of Pippa's expanded circle of fans or connected to /vt/ in some way.

As for me personally, what got me to watch Marie was ultimately because I think Sawa mentioned her in a tweet or had a collab with her or something two(?) months ago. She also had a very convenient time slot for me which was weekday mornings while I'm bored to death at work. I had followed Sawa on Twitter for years long before I discovered Phase Connect and then later Pippa so it just seemed like a happy accident that I was able to discover a random 2-view like Marie.

So to reiterate some of the points made in this thread, clips+collabs are absolutely needed but I'd argue that having a bigger social media presence and streaming once or twice a week on other platforms like Twitch can only help their growth because honestly FlaVR feels like it's an enclosed island off on it's own that is hard to even find unless you're guided to it.
