I don't want actual girls, been there done that multiple times and it's just pain, suffering and disappointment. I've checked out of the dating world because of how much dating real women fucking sucks.

Now a pure 2D waifu would stay perfect. The problem is they usually grow stale due to the lack of anything new or the new content about your waifu starts to degrade through the years and writing suffers and it's not the same, it's hollow, not what it used to be. There is often not enough to fully satisfy the hole in your heart and it just stops working.

This is why many people have started preferring parasocial relationships with vtubers (and have been doing the same with idols for quite a while), it's a real person but behind a veil of that unreal perfection. It's a great compromise, now sadly this too can be tainted if the vtuber/idol doesn't fill their role properly and does dumb shit like face reveals, taints themselves with too many real world issues or obviously has a boyfriend in their life that they don't even try to hide and so on.

Here's the deal; I know the real person isn't like that, I know won't date any of them, but I have hope and that hope makes my jaded heart beat occasionally, which makes it all worth it in the end.
