Ahh, but that's the thing, anon! Even actors with voice changers just don't succeed as well as actresses. Those lonely weebs crave hearing a lovely biological female voice. That's why they either need to understand the art of the roleplay side of the business or have an advisor that can help them stay in character.

I firmly believe in the principle that anyone can USE a virtual avatar but not everyone can actually BE a virtual character worthy of being idolized. I'm sure you can tell by now that a lot of the EN community is based on money and social connections, and the consoomers that don't question the quality of the art. This is why I feel like all the current major EN groups are doomed to fail and anything good from the EN community will come from smaller vtubers who demonstrate that they understand how to roleplay and how to grow a community without tarnishing the character they play, or turning it into a personal avatar.
