Let's be real Aster isn't even close to Selen's level in fps games and she never had any "competitive success" despite trying multiple times. Being good at games won't carry you to being a good streamer if your personality sucks. Qu/Dtto is a prodigy at fps games and she still streams to only a few hundred people.

He's never done a karaoke stream, it's been a fucking month. Is he gonna be the next Ike who people hype up as a "music" streamer despite only doing music content once every 6 months? If you're gonna be a streamer you need to actually come up with content for your streams. Even Enna didn't incline due to her music, she inclined from doing multiple handcam streams and fun zatsus every week. She's one of the most entertaining speakers in all of vtubing and it keeps people coming back to her even though she rarely does karaoke.

Yes, because Nijisanji EN has attained massive global reach and can draw in the audience to their debuts so people give them a chance. Everything that happens afterwards is on the livers, if they can't maintain those numbers it's not due to a lack of marketing, it's because they suck. I'm pretty sure any of the previous waves would've killed for any of the immediate attention Iluna got. If Lazulight had those debut numbers they would have hit a million subs within a few months.

Lazulight started from nothing and had better numbers than half of Iluna even when they debuted with like 30k subs. Obsydia and Luxiem and Noctyx had no growing pains, they fit in pretty quickly. The only other wave that reclined massively after debut was Ethyria and their debuts peaked at like 13k so it's nothing compared to Iluna.

Pomu doesn't count, she's a once in a generation vtuber talent that was always amazing even before Nijisanji.
Finana is a better metric, she took weeks/months to even get past the 2 hour time limit because streaming exhausted her.
