honestly, since the issues are mostly tied to scheduling, how was he supposed to suggest a solution when he isn't aware of their schedule?
at that point you can only really point out perceivable flaws/potential problems with current setup and let Mori or J-chad sort it out

the scuff part seems to reference the multitude of times Deadbeats provided relatively clear advice, only so they could be put aside so she could try doing her thing - and that's how we got people playing Xrd, or Gura playing Cuphead under 11-15 frames of delay, both cases leading to Mori apologizing profusely and beating herself up for not listening
