This. It was, pun intended, a seed that grew into something bigger once everyone hopped on. For two weeks straight it was 10+ threads of just Orange. We had amazing GETs, and you could tell there were three types of people there in the crowd of Orangeposters. There were the ones who were in it for the meme, the ones who wanted to spite /vt/ for a number of reasons which I could list if prompted, and then there was us, the ones who stayed. The ones who suffered week to month long bans numerous times only to keep coming back. The janitors closely eye every thread here. In fact, it’s the case everywhere on this board. You could get banned for simply making a joke they could twist against you, or calling out their practices, like I am right now. With the initial orange wave gone, the mod team started cracking down hard on us. We were pushed back having no more than 4 threads, then we became confined in a single general. Each week falseflaggers claiming to be Orangeposters would try and discourage us (still try btw) by telling us our time had come. But the fact of the matter is that if there is a fan base willing enough to pull through even when everything “seems” lost, then they will survive. There were times where my heart stopped at the sight of an empty query return for “OAG” from the catalog. But I knew that the spirit of the Orange Truth was one that called for action. Each of us here has contributed to the creation of something beautiful. We have established a community that, in the midst of hate battles over Oshis and accelerating chaos, we get to relax and enjoy a wholesome franchise universally dear to us. We will not be shaken. We will not fade. We won’t be gone in a week, a month, or a year. We will be here until the entire board proclaims the sanctity of the Orange Truth. NO JANNY WILL PUSH US DOWN. WE REBUILD. WE SURVIVE. WE ARE LED BY OUR UNDYING LOVE OF THE SUPREME FRUIT.
