It did pretty well on it's 2013 launch, with the game only recieving negative reception in the first season due to the small roster. Every season there after recieved higher review scores than it did on release, with large increases in player activity for months at a time. Its 2017 steam port seemed to do well enough, but had a much smaller playerbase due to them scrapping the F2P system in favour of buying the game outright. Killer Instinct was notable for being one of the only F2P systems that felt like it was doing you a favour instead of trying to rob you of your money. Players of all kinds got to try out the fighting game risk free, without fear of having to drop $60+ for an ass-kicking experience they might not enjoy like other fighting games commonly did and still do. If players found themselves invested, they could drop $5 to master a single character of their choice without having to worry about roster changes, and without feeling like they wasted too much money if the playerbase dies off towards the end of the season. If they didn't enjoy the game, they could just un-install without fear of having wasted money.

That being said, it's popularity could be related to the fact it was a near-launch title, and as of now it only has around 30 people playing it on Steam. That also being said, the game is almost 10 years old, and has only seemed to leave good impressions on people. I wouldn't call it a flop.

What exactly is an anti? If we go by a technical description, it is to be opposed to something, but I am not opposed to Hololive or Ollie. It is because I love Ollie I said and acted the way I did. I didn't bully her, but you could say I didn't support her by unsubscribing and blocking her from my mind, so maybe I am an anti, simply for the fact I 'oppose' her behaviour and naive nature. What makes an anti? Their goal or their actions? What does it mean to be a fan? Is one considered an anti for not blindly bending the knee to the whims of their oshi? Are you truly a fan if all you do is watch clips of your 'oshi'? When does one ascend from an average viewer to a fan? What happens when you love so many content creators, and the one you watch the most is threatening to destabilize all of it due to her naivety? To call everyone here an anti would be untrue. Not everybody here wants to see the girls fail, as much as it might sound like it, but anything out of context and with enough exposure will blind the rational. I want what is best for my oshi, and all of her actual friends instead of all the pissants that she unfortunately believe care for her.
